per DC on FB-

"Team USA has been picked, and now so has Puerto Rico: Luis Grana in the MX1 Class, Zach Osborne in MX2, and Jimmy Albertson in MX3. That's two Americans on the U.S. territory's team (and yes, it's legal for the MXoN)"

I have never heard Luis Grana and I usually keep track of the local (PR) riders. Might have to do some research on this kid. Hope he can hold his own.

There is a good chance that their MX2 rider finishes in front of Team USA's MX2 rider!
Zach is pretty fast on the St.Jean track!

The MXdN isn't supposed to be just a 3-man team race; it's a race where you go to represent your country.

Pretty sure Albertson and Osborne are not Puerto Rican and I'd be willing to bet that they've never even been there.

It's a joke that they're allowed to do such a thing and it takes away from the credibility of the event.

If you want to race at the MXdN, earn a ride for YOUR country. Don't finagle your way in on a technicality.

i have to agree. its a loop hole that doesnt make a bit of sense at all. if its part of the US, then why are we sending 5 guys over? we already picked our 3 riders. why does the US get 2 teams?

did they even make the mains last year?

Seems to me that being from Puerto Rico has little to do with being on the Puerto Rican team. Shocked

I have no idea, but would there be enough funding for them to have a true 3 man team?

I think calling it a USA "B" team is a huge over-statement. If USA had a "B" team, the team would be different.

Maybe you dickwads should petition a rule change rather than bitch about PR working within the rules and rounding up some serious talent.

Tough would be challenging you to a fight. Citing you as a dickwad is purely an observation.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm rooting for the Costa Rican team of Josh Coppins, Evgeny Mikhaylov and Akira Narita.

..my point exactly. If we are gonna stack it with americans, why not go all out and have a "B" team

Hijacking this thread and turning it into a B team discussion. Who are you picks? Obviously, B team means no Dungey, Villopoto or Baggett.
