Providence RI crushed bikes and ATV today.

No mention if they checked to see if stolen. I hate the menace they are on city streets but this seems like the wrong approach. If stolen they’ll steal more. What a waste and now they are talking about taking them out of yards. Not even catching in the act.

WoW they're truly are some nutjob officials in different states.

I cringe when I even see them smashing up nice cars on TV!

Can not imagine them putting perfectly good motorcycles in the crusher, I honestly do not think I could watch.Sick

They should be crushing the thieves and returning the bikes to the rightful owners.

So I guess they should just let the thief's keep what they steal so they don't steal more. Laughing
Of course they check VINs and try to find owner.

Of course they have?? Questions have been about checking VIN and no answers yet. Also asked about if stolen donating to tech schools for teaching. City says no values to auctioning them off or to charity.

I agree donating to some tech schools or high schools with tech programs would be much better use of the bikes. Basically all they’re saying with this action is that our bikes are trashing the city and they are trying to clean up. Sad

Kind if short sighted that they don't sell them on a site lIke govdeals.com.

They could even restrict the sale to out of state buyers.

This was painful to watch. From what I have heard all these bikes and ATVs had Vins removed so they legally could not sell them. Donating them to a tech school would have been a great idea.

Why? They will just raise taxes instead.

Makes you wonder how many spoke skins could have been saved. What a shame.

Just part of "keep america great". Lol
The Keep America Great crowd would be far more likely to sell/donate the bikes and prosecute the criminals.

Leave it to government to invent new ways to be foolish and wasteful.
