Price Check: 2018 KTM 350sxf

Been getting back into riding lately and found a 2018 350 SXF for sale . The guy wants five grand . The bike has about 110 hours. I don't think it has had any maintenance done and he is the second owner. Dude works a lot and is unable to ride it as he intended.

How reliable are these 350s? Do you think five grand is a good price?

Imo too much for the hours with no maintance. Just saw an 18 with 26hrs on the FB for $6k today.

Preciate that. I am not seeing them for this cheap in my area. Everyone wants 6500-7k

Thats a decent amount of hours but you won't find that bike below 5 grand. So I'd say either grab that one up knowing you may need to go over it and potentially do some maintanence or just wait and pay more for a similar bike with less hours. They are reliable bikes but by the 100hr mark, I'd probably want to make sure the valves are good and probably replace the top end.

And as AH387 said I don't think $5k is terribly high, just expect valves and probably a piston. If it were me I'd lean towards spending more for lower hours. Just personal preference though.

I have 140 hours on my 17 FX350. Haven't touched anything. I do a lot of road riding though so its not bouncing off the rev limiter hardly ever. A few local races and some practice days at the track. Starts and runs like the day I bought it. Super fun bike to ride.

i bought the same bike with 4 hours for 5 grand this past spring. IN my opinion anything over 100 hours is not worth the headaches it could cause

I have a 2011 350 getting ready to roll 200 hours. I wouldn't be worried about it at all they are super reliable if you are taking care of them.

For comparison sake, I just sold my 17 FC350 with nothing beyond normal maint with 70.1 hrs for $6k Bike was incredibly clean and 1st guy who saw it bought it. He had looked at 6 others for slightly less money but he told me they werent nearly as clean or well documented for service.

I think it's a fair price and you can do a top end for around $400. KTMs actually aren't that bad to work on compared to some of the other cam and head designs.

Damn high prices.
I'm trying to buy a 17+ sx/tc 250 and the lowest price i could get was 3900€ for a tc250 with 140 hours, never rebuilt.
I found a low hours sx250 for 4800€, if i can sell my bike in the next days i'm going to take it home for sure!
