This might be the deepest field in decades. There are 6-7 legit title contenders. I don`t remember it ever being this deep. Title will be decided by luck and little things here and there. I don`t see anyone running away with it.

Have to agree, and there's (IMO) 10-12 guys that could win a SX race on any given day. The last 2-3 seasons have had a deep talent pool in the 450 class. And the racing was good tonight, all the way to 10th-11th place.

Were missing Musquin and 2021 will again bring new riders to the 450 class (Ferrandis, Sexton). Next few years are going to be great in the big bike class.

It’s awesome. We are in for a great season if everyone stays healthy and races each round. That’s what hurts us every year and thins out the field.

Unless what happened tonight happens 8-9 more times. Roczen is capable of running away with this very quickly.

I agree. I didn’t like what I saw from tomac or webb

It's going to come down to starts and who can consistently start in the top 5 every main. Look at everyone's starting positions for the race and majority only moved one or two positions. Besides Tomac, started in 12th and ended in 4th. I think anyone in the top 10 could win any weekend, plus Webb since he ended up in 12th haha.

Partly because there was not enough room on the track for the bunch further back. They kept on stepping on each other’s toes. Slowing each other down with block passes etc which caused small mistakes in rhythm lanes etc. it was a dog fight back there. Most of it was missed by the commentators.

If your racing against Kenny you just can’t let him be ahead of you in the opening laps. He just makes pace and checks out till the checkers.

Someone will ride like Dungy. Consistently running top 5, that’s how championships are won.

I was rather impressed by Barcia. It looked at first like he wanted to make a run for Kenny, but he maintained a steady gap to Anderson and took home a solid 2nd. Dare I say he may have started to take on the consistency formula.

And I’ll be curious to see if Webb can pick it back up after he gets over his sickness. Didn’t they say he had an upper chest infection? He needs to get out of that soon because he getting into a hole that will be tough to dig himself out of in this deep of a field.

If most don't think what you are doing is cool, you are probably doing something right.

The difference is that Dungey always put the bike on the box. And won like 50% of the races.

2011 Field - James Stewart (2x Champ), Chad Reed (2x champ), Ryan Villopoto (4x champ), Ryan Dungey (4x champ)

Also that year - Canard, Windham, Millsaps (who had red plate for several rds)

2020 Field - Cooper Web (1x champ), Jason Anderson (1x champ)

Not even close to the deepest field. Every year we have to hear this. Can we just agree that the premier class is badass?

The way you are counting, we need to wait 7 years to see if this field is deep or not.

Dungey had one title in 2011 and RV had zero.

Ok I'll count it as it stood in that year
7 (2x champ), 22 (2x champ), 5 (1x champ)

Still much deeper

Did you just take Reed’s championships away from him?

To be more real compare six race wins or podiums for all on the line I think this years field is way more stacked...

It made for great racing actually if it wasn't for Kenny checking out. And who knows what "Bam" might have had for him if he wasn't sick.

If most don't think what you are doing is cool, you are probably doing something right.
This is a dangerous mentality in 99% other aspects of life, though. Laughing

I just really hope the field stays healthy all season. So far 2 different winners in both classes at both races, i can see that trend continue in both classes for a few more rounds!
