Awesome news about AJ. So pleased to read a full recovery will be made.

Was having a shitty day yesterday, a kid I know locally was racing the Tour of Portugal bicycle race and during yesterday's stage he was run over by one of the race follow motos (either carrying a camera or an official) and he's in hospital with thoracic vertebral fractures (no spinal cord involvement) and fractures to his left orbit. I got sent a clip of the incident and it was horrible to watch. I spent a few hours on my bicycle yesterday and I just kept thinking about all the 2-wheeled getoffs and injuries in the sports I love to do and follow, and how crazy it all is.

Wow that’s wild! He got super lucky to make it back with no major deficits. So happy to hear it.

Been following this story. Fantastic report! Not enough good things to say about all the medical professionals taking care of him. Also a big thank you to The Man upstairs for answering so many prayers

What else? Just good to see him smiling.
Things will be ok, just a matter of time.

I'm so happy to hear he's doing well. My Paternal Grandparents came directly off the boat from Lithuania.Years ago I noticed AJ was from the same country as my family and I would always check the standings to see how he was doing.

He is in Lithuania if I'm not mistaken. He is getting better and better, still a long way to go but it's amazing how fast he is recovering!
