I have multiple sources from Mantova. Now the news is out though.

And for those asking, my sources all told me he had a very big crash. Whether it was the cause of the trauma or a consequence, I don't know.

Sometimes we forget how big of a bitch this sport can be and then it gives us these terrible reminders. Jeffrey thankfully was lucky, Bobby and Hampshire too. Hopefully this luck extends out to Arminas and he makes a 100% recovery.

Hope there's some better news today. Someone said earlier in the thread that he was conscious when they took him away. If that's true hopefully it is somewhat of a good sign. Man, he was hauling ass. Ran a 1:54 while in 7th and everyone else up front were running 1:56's and 1:57's. Love watching the big dude ride.

Prayers sent to the big one for a full recovery, he’s been on a mission and doing great so hopefully this is a sign he can muscle threw this. Like others said hard to sleep when you know someone’s fighting a fight like this.

Watched the race last night and man, AJ was absolutely hauling! The top guys were going so fast and AJ was 2 seconds a lap faster. The dude always busts out those outstanding performances when you least expect it. Prayers for you and your family AJ! You’ve got this.

Thoughts and prayers for the big man and his family, we know by his riding he’s a gutsy fighter and this will stand him in good stead.

I've got some news, apparently he will be in coma for atleast a week since he has blood in his brain. The first 3-4 days are critical.

I did not realize how serious this was until I read the latest update on Twitter. We all love this sport and absolutely hate this side of it...but regardless of your/our beliefs we need to pray for this guy. He's been a great story to watch with his progression.

Maybe a dumb question, but is there confirmation this was the result of a crash or did he have some kind of 'medical episode' on the track?

He suffered a 'traumatic brain injury'.

Trauma = crash.

Saw the crash on instagram. Lost balance on take off, shifted his weight to front, long nose wheelie on landing similar to Jett, and went head first into next jump. So unlucky. Prayers AJ

We are grown ups. Why the secrecy about the crash?

Understandably his medical condition may be confidential.
It's not a matter of everyone being adults or not. There are time when it's irresponsible to post news that you're impatient for.

It’s a horrible crash, made worse by the idea that you need to put jumps on every flat bit of track. There’s no need to have a double after that table top.

What puzzles me, is how come there were no flags, didnt see anything on the coverage at all, and i only spotted the bike a few laps from the end.. so how did he get off the track , its a 1.40 ish lap there i think.

we saw how ' keen ' the medics were when Bobby got off, i just struggle to comprehend how there was less indication than Covington got for tipping over in a turn.

Wishing him all the best for a recovery , thats for sure.
