IMO the pace has grown since he last raced in America. He could steal a win or two but the young guns are very tough to beat right now in the 250 class.

I disagree especially with Kenny and Eli gone. If Pourcel rides the FIRST motos like he used to he would absolutely beat these kids. Second motos are a different story but that is not CP's fault. This guy use to handle Dungey, Barcia and Canard in first motos and he is a DNF and a broken shoulder away from two straight lites titles. All is a big if though, but if he still runs his old speed he will be just fine.

I'm wondering why you say that second motos are not CP's fault.
Pourcel comes back the year Erin leaves. Coincidence...?
I don't know what your reasoning or conspiracy theory might be, but Erin is probably going into the auto racing commentary gig full time instead of SX/MX. I'm sure there is a LOT more money to be made in that area, and she's damn good at it.

I agree with you- you can never count out pourcel. Anyone who can run with the names above, aswel as RV and cairoli will always be in the mix. If he is happy with the bike (an outdoors only deal so plenty of testing time) then he will win a lot of races and be a championship contender in my opinion.
250 outdoors will be fantastic in 2014! the 2 Frenchman and Baggett will do most of the winning- interesting to see if any of the young guns can step it up
how is baggetts wrist? is Wilson 250 outdoors or 450?
I'm glad to see him back out there.....always enjoyed watching him ride.
On another note.....I'm sure ol' GoRide is going to be making some serious love to his CP377 blow up doll....all the way to A1. Look like a dog in heat with that news.

OMG, jeffro...I all but forgotten about NoRide!!
I know you remember all that over on that other board. Really amazing.
He'll be back here, no doubt with a new account and an old attitude.
flake. i say he comes, gets a few 7th's and quits.
Stupidest comment on here in a while, guess your such a fantastic talent spotter, that Mitch Payton must have been an idiot to hire him.
He can ride rings around America's best and look so smooth he's out for a trail ride.
I dont know how you keyboard thumpers are writing him off so quick? The guy has came back from some serious injuries multiple times to run with big players on both sides of the pond.

Yeah...everybody (including me) has bashed CP for perhaps being a little full of himself in his negotiating a ride in the US a while back. It seems as if a trip back to the GP's and his lack of real success there has mellowed him a bit. Great to see he's hooked up with a team like Valli that has the experience, connections and financing to support him. And, the bike will surely be a good one being factory and all. I'm pretty sure that, unless Baggett is healed 100% and gets his El Chuppacabra mojo back...it'll be a Musquin, Pourcel & Wilson show outdoors for 2014. It ought to be as epic as the 450's!
i really wish he would of stuck around when mitch offered him the 450 ride. Dude should of put his pride down for a season and made a go at putting in solid results on a good bike

Christophe's a genuine threat whatever he ride's!
Dude come on, you said the other guys comment was stupid and then proceeded to say he'll "ride rings around americas best". The dude is a badass on a bike but send me the video when he "rides rings" around RV, RD, JB, TC, etc...
I think this news is rad, would love to see him out there again.

Looking forward to seeing him race again.

Pit Row
i'll go as far as to say that he will sweep the first round at GH easily.
