I spoke with him in the stands at A1 briefly and his arm was still in a sling. I seriously doubt he's riding yet.

Had surgery around anaheim 1 and then it was four weeks to get back on the bike.

Wonders if he regrets not moving up he might have had a shot at the title. Can't translate one rider's result to another but with RV #2 and RD #1 this weekend you got to think that Pourcel would be up there as well.

Alwasy heard the tales of how he apparently kills it on 450f

Hes probably hoping RD wins so he can use it for bargaining for his 450 ride. I heard he couldn't get the amount of money he wanted for a 450 ride so in a way I see RD helping him with that negotiation process. Funny how these things work-

I think the choice was CP's to stay in the lites....no? Either way , the guy will be a threat on the big bikes next year if he's healthy. JMB2? possibly.

I thought I read he wanted too much money for a big bike so he choose to stay with PC because the money was good- He couldn't fetch what he wanted so I guess in a way it was his choice- Just what I read..but I am no "insider"

Mitch is known for not throwing the most money out there. He provides the best equipment possible with the best backing and says if you want to win its here.

I think Reed and Pourcel made a big mistake not riding Suzuki both are hurt now while Dungey and Stroupe are killing it

Not sure, but isn't it Kawasaki that throws "Mitch's money"? In Pourcels' case you really have to add in heat wins, main wins, moto wins, O/A wins podiums, championships and maybe even qualifying times etc. Hard say to say what the dynamics were in what he was asking for vs. what he was offered.

I really wish he'd bumped upto 450's just because it would have made the class amazing - plus the way the seasons started, he prob would have won the bugger! Next year eh...

With Dungey at Suzuki, Villopoto at Kawi, and Stewart at Yamaha really the team for Pourcel was Honda but they didn't have the cash. He also said at some point that the 450F might be a bit hard to handle with his physical conditions still not 100%. The risk though is if he screw his SX season or get beaten by Barcia that million dollar 450f ride might be even harder to get next year.

Seeing how cerebral Pourcel is, I can see him starting slowly and letting Barcia and Stroupe take each other out.

Pourcel is going to be a freak of nature on a 450. Im not down with a French guy taking it to the Americans, but he just may do it.

The way he looked indoor and out last year I don't think anything will hurt his chances for that big dollar 450 ride. If anything if one of those guys beat him straight up it will just increase their value, That said I think CP will get the job done inside and out this year. He just too damn good. Barcia's time will come just I don't think it willl be this year. But I'm saying that not ever seeing Barcia race sx so who knows?

Im a little worried that Barcia will be too wild to win the title. Man would I love to be wrong about that though.

Barcia would need to get it done quickly before Musquin and Rovzen get there and take over lol

Umm... really this is all fantasy talk.
When Pourcel lines up at the 450 class and wins a race I will be impressed.
Until then, I'm enjoying watching Dungey & Villopoto.

He did the operation NOW? The operation used to be BS excuse for him not doing the mxDn. I like the guy, but this is bad karma in my book.

Be honest, or STFU if you are being paid loads of cash for doing a hobby.

No he got the plate out of his collarbone after the nationals started riding again then broke the same collarbone at the start of January... so is back in a sling.

Its not really fantasy talk.

How many top class/championship winning Lites riders have failed miserably in the big bike class? Villopoto's transition hasn't exactly been a smooth one but he's won races and Dungey - who Pourcel beat last year in SX - is winning already.
