He rode well today and is improving, hope to see him on the box soon. Hope that Rockstar has a better payroll service than Valli too!Grinning

He's the most talented rider out there. He's only had a few months of riding and it doesn't matter how fit you are, there is nothing that prepares you for getting into race shape.

I'm looking forward to seeing him finish off the series well and I seriously think he can be a championship contender at SX.

Seeing how he is with the team...who, btw, loves the guy...and how good he is to his mechanic...

I'll have to assume that he's just the guy I've always thought he was...

Kinda Quiet
Smiles a lot
Stoked when things are going well
Bummed when they're not
Wants to Win...for everyone involved

Always liked this kid...not to mention the Hell he's been thru...& I'm always gonna like him, too.

I'd like to throw something-else out there, too: he's recently changed his status/home to Florida...I can't help thinking...& I'm almost ashamed to think its because of the TOTALLY F'd up & IGNORANT SHIT people have said about him being French...

He does live in FL; but, he's always gonna be a French-Bad-Ass to me. We should be proud that we let ANYONE come here and race. It makes us better. It makes the sport better. It makes me proud.

I'm jus' sayin'...

I believe he lived in Groveland FL, but may have recently sold the property and moved west. Possibly returning to FL?

Pourcel had a great ride today. He is just now getting into his groove. It is amazing to watch him ride, reminds me of JMB. I look forward to watch him progress as the season continues.

CP rode awesome today! Really cool seeing that guy get back in his groove and mesh with that bike. The dude seems happy to. If he stays happy , I see him mixing it up inside the top 5 a lot! Stoked for that guy!

Him riding with Roczen is going to be good for both of them
Must have missed that, they are practicing together ?

That is a relief to see him ride like that. I thought he looked great immediately on the Huskys but after yesterday now we can see the potential more precisely. I am sure he can do well in SX. As I have always said, a quali killing = most of the time a great start with him, so a good result. His lines & style should also be analyzed for hours every sunday morning in MX schools too ... I loved Langston's comments about CP's mechanics, that looks like a really funny balance.

CP kind of over rode it sometimes yesterday to get back to the speed he needs to be upfront, it is very rare to see him making little mistakes and going all out. That is good to see him trying really hard and going out of his confort zone, once he figure it out he will get the second a lap he needs to be on the podium more regularly.

KTM/Husky are really making an impressive push. KTM with DeCoster being upfront is not a surprise anymore, but now with the Husky effort it makes the KTM/Husky group trusting the top 5 ! It looks more and more like they do in GPs so I can only predict we will see them upfront for long !

was plenty of haters on here saying he wasn't good enough to be a top 5 guy!!! 3-5 for 4th overall today isn't bad for a guy that only got on the bike a couple of weeks before the season started! (all the other riders had months of testing behind them)

one guy on here said CP377 would really struggle this week with the temperature/ humidity?

pourcel is a serious talent! love to watch him ride- expect to see him on the box regularly when he's back to 100% again, with a win at unadilla

A few years back, this would have been a 5-pager already with half of the posters calling Pourcel everything but the Antichrist! Funny how time...and bandwagons change.

I think TeamGreen put it down pretty well. CP is just a very talented, very competitive racer that is only up to his capabilities if he is comfy on the bike, comfy with the team structure & feels like he has what he needs...and deserves, to go fast. He's got all that now, it seems. I hope the guy puts in some podiums before the season wraps.

If anyone has seen Cairoli the movie, Cairoli has massive respect for Pourcel, he and De reauver says Pourcel is one of the most talented riders ever. They are talking about before he had his accident though.. But skills does not dissapear after a crash like that. Some other things might, but when he gets it right, hes still one of the fastest guys out there.

Man I've been here a long time and I don't remember all this " Hate " you guys keep talking about. Sure you get a few bone head posters talking trash like they always do , but 99% of this board pulls for CP to do good. Hell 99% of the posters pull for all the riders to do good and stay healthy. It's to bad that a couple guys can be the cause of painting the entire crowd that way.

That's 100% true. CP has an incredible amount of skill. Anyone that doesn't see that is either blind or stupid.

He wasn't at his house which he has had but Now that the series moved east, he is at his own track and practicing with KR.

It was talked about on the broadcast and it makes sense for him to be more comfortable now.

I think a lot of the "hate" that is mentioned was all about the ton of crap thrown at CP a couple years ago when he turned down many offers to ride because those factories didn't want to pony up the huge salary that his agent was asking for. I think he burned some bridges, and got a reputation (probably an uncalled for one) for being arrogant & hard to deal with.

He came here and won while not having any interest in being a bro show cool kid. That's all it comes down to. He believes in himself, as he should, and he doesn't like losing. He probably won't ever be satisfied again unless he's battling for titles. I would guess that's not fun to be around at the truck when things aren't going well but I'd take it over a factory rider who is ecstatic to get a top 10.

Roczen mentioned CP cutting the track. Was he talking about that funny line around the 180 on top of the hill? Looks like there was a mound built up around the inside but I thought I saw yellow markers on on the very inside.

Honestly some of his fellow Frenchmen are the hardest on him. Some he may deserve and some he doesn't. DV certainly has had issues with him and was very public about it.
It was cool when Canard defend him on the podium that time when fans were booing him. Canards a stand up guy..
