Literally 2 mins riding my bros pitbike I managed to melt my leg resulting in 3rd degree burns and a skin craft.

How did you convince them to do yours? I literally searched for a doctor and had some words with a few surgeons since no one wanted to cut mine off. It was very frustrating, I didn't realize how hard it was to make a doctor cut off a limb that was never going to work again lol
The scary part is i think i could have done it and there were days when I was hurting so bad I didn't think it would be too much worse. I'm glad I don't have to tell that story.
Actually that sounds horrible though. I just had umbilical hernia surgery a couple weeks ago. The last thing I ever want to feel is throwing up after stomach muscles have been cut. I'm glad it worked out man.
Pit Row
Getting the movement back in my knee was super painful and lengthy but hopping back on the bike 6 months after the break worked whatever movement I had gained back to normal, albeit a bit excruciating when I pushed it passed. Nowhere near getting half my leg cut off like other posted but it was my biggest injury and longest recovery. Worst part of snapping your femur is the muscle spasms that jamb the sharp bone into your leg muscles over and over. Shit sucked. And now I got some train tracks on my leg.
Funny story, all I had to do was finish the race with points to win the year end points championship but I crashed out 1st moto and ended up with 2nd place in points. Insult to injury, I suppose.
Dec 3 2017. Pilon fracture (tibia in 3 pieces at ankle joint), broken fibula, broken radius (wrist) and two metacarples
7 months from surgery yesterday, some pain in the morning and night swells throughout the day..can function somewhat normally, no running but getting little bits better every day. Hope to get back to riding at about a year but we’ll see what the ankle says in a few months.
This was in 2002,I got a certain amount of feeling back inside after about 5 years I suppose but no more outside
Lesson learned? Yep!
