Hoping to get some feedback on dealing with some post concussion symptoms. I took a pretty good digger a little over a month ago. Been having a frustrating time dealing with some of the post concussion symptoms.
Nothing showed up on the scan but Doc thinks I dislodged/damaged my inner ear which controls balance. Been haveing some annoying balance issues. Although it hasn't prevented me from carrying on with my normal life it's pretty annoying not feeling physically on point/ normal. I started doing some balance rehab exercises that have improved things but the progress seems slow.
Hoping to get some feedback from others that have gone through similar issues. I try not to complain around my family dont want to worry them. Been keeping this bottled up for a while. Thanks

A few years ago my wife had Vertigo for about a month and well it is strange but easy to fix and it is the same issue and for me it cured it. All it took was laying with your head hanging on an angle off the end of the bed and doing some movements and rotation and sitting up.
I was skeptical but did as my wife instructed and in about 5 minutes the dizziness was 99% gone. After a day or 2 it was 100% gone. I was amazed something this simple could cure what the Dr wanted me to wait weeks to get in and pay for.
Google ear crystals and there are a bunch of videos that show you exactly wat to do.
Watch this video and it covers it. https://youtu.be/9SLm76jQg3g

I am not a doctor and am only speaking from my personal experience and research. Good luck!
+Ginger is a natural solution! Blend it with some fruits daily and it will help a lot!!
This is much like the other video - try both see what works for you. Keep in mind most times you feel mostly better, but not 100%. 100% takes a few days or weeks or months.

On another note : I do remember another time where I was out for probably 2 minutes. The weird thing is , I felt fine after just a few days. The real bad one , I think I was only out for 10 seconds? And it took months.
To the OP......don't rush anything! Let your brain heal correctly , no matter how long it takes.
(That was the time I was so racked up my GF was lifting my head to pour water down my throat the next day- gnarly.)
I guess that's why I spend $500+ on a helmet now.
Anyway, I had same issues after a concussion, I will give specifics after wasting time with multiple general practioners I finally got to a sports doc that worked with althletes primarily. He used this formula to get me literally out of bed after two months. My symptoms were fatigue and dizziness and poor concentration. He prescribed the following :
Amantadine, Methylphenidate and Clonazepam. My primary GP was like “huh”.
This was May 2018’ that I started the above medication, in two weeks I was off the couch and back working and was lucky to race the amateur day at Washougal national July, 2018’. 95 % recovered and off those meds as of last month.
With Chris Cooksey’s previous post and video about his concussions battles, I have had similiar challenges and I am pursuing the TMS Therapy to get fully 100% back maybe. Thanks for that Chris.
I would say it took at least a month to feel normal going about day to day life but stayed off the bike for around 2 months. Had a race today and felt great, hopefully you kick these symptoms soon
Dale Earhart jr wrote an entire book on his experience with concussions and how he’s been treating his post concussion symptoms with therapy. Also the full interview is amazing if you have the time, but he does go over some exercises he still does to help with his past Brain trauma
Concussion talk starts at 40:30 I’m trying to figure out how to get it to autostart there
Thank you everyone for sharing your ways to try and get over this. Some great information being shared
Find some good help now and educate yourself quickly. This is a hole I have been slowly climbing out of after 6 years and I don’t think I will ever fully recover. TBI is a serious subject.
My new GF just got one when her airbags deployed last week. ER staff and docs were useless. Tried to diagnose as a serious concussion and send her home. No Neuro referral, no concussion protocol, absolutely useless.
