Was at the stadium last night; Kenny's crash was one of the most brutal I've ever seen! When people are saying they are glad it's "Only" a compound fracture, that should tell you everybody was expecting much worse.

I know i'm usually out of the loop and all but when did it become funny to crack jokes about someone getting hurt that bad ? Ken still isn't in the clear .He still runs the risk of an infection ,blood clot or nerve damage.

This is a side effect to a torn bicep tendon and labrum. These injuries have side effects that I'm hoping doesn't happen to Roczen. He has been confident with his media posts which isn't popular but he's been a great rider to watch.

I've had 3 epidurals which were all band aids and didn't last long. The Epidurals (spinal injections) costed me $400 each, (after insurance paid their part). I won't bother with them next time around, waste of money, IMO.

Roczen hit hard, I would imagine that the compound fracture and dislocated elbow won't be his only issues, after the dust settles.
How,are you doing with it?

I'm gutted for the dude.! Very brutal It scared the shit out of me. I yelled, woke up the kids, got the eb Jeeves. I was terrified that he may lose his dang life. I kinda don't like watching the races live for that reason. Any of you talking shit must never been flying through air going "oh shit I'm going to die before" Not one bit of fun.
Heal up Ken and stay tough.

Not a fan of Roczen, but sure hated to see that happen....even turned off the race after that.

Sure he will heal up and be back, but not sure if we will ever see him at 100% against Dungey again. Last year it was the "bike setup" and next year it will be "coming back from injury." Feels bad for Kenny, but also for Dungey.

We were in for some great racing they were just getting warmed up man I hate it for Ken , how is his head it looked as if he nailed it pretty hard any updates on his head ?

I was just glad to see him start moving. Those sudden stop crashes are scary. I'm hoping the arm injury isn't career altering. He was just getting going.

Update as of 2/20/17: Ken is nearing the end of his surgery list and it's really stacking up. He just finished up number eight, has a ninth one on Wednesday and will need one more to get the external fixator out...that's ten total! Yikes... Check below for the latest from the man himself.





Update as of 1/27/17: Ken has updated us from Instagram once again as he goes in for his third surgery today. The latest update includes photos of what his arm looks like without the bandages on, it's quite graphic...

Update as of 1/24/17: Ken's latest update on IG after his first surgery is up. He's in good spirits, but mentions he's going to require at least four more surgeries, yikes! Get well soon Ken, check below for the quote from his latest post.



Update as of 1/23/17: Ken Roczen has updated fans with his overall list of injuries, including a dislocated wrist and elbow, along with the compound fractured radius. It sounds like Ken is dealing with a lot of swelling and hasn't gone in for his initial surgery yet, as he's actually flying to Vail, Colorado to see a specialist of his choice to perform the first surgery.



Just got an update from the floor, from the sounds of it the Alpinestars Medic crew is signaling for a broken arm with Ken Roczen.

Edit: The HRC Honda team has confirmed a compound fracture in the lower left arm for Ken Roczen, he was transported to a local hospital to decide if immediate surgery is required or if they will weigh the options.

I hope he doesn't have nerve damage...my dad badly broke his arm in a similar fashion and the nerve damage was what took the longest time to heal. I am praying he makes a full recovery first and then a return to his former level second...life is more important than MX...

Bummer for him and the fans of racing, glad it is not worse. I wish him a full recovery.

That was brutal. Sometimes they can get away with it, sometimes that put them out for most of the season. I also think the people joking about it understood their mistake, if not shrimps are always an option, but just as an advise saying that in real life and not on a keyboard may end up with a hammer on the arm just to see if it is as funny. That is how it would turn up in most MX guys garage since most have dealt with injuries or close friends ones, and nobody would wish that to its worst enemy.

Poor Kenny, I've been there. I lawn darted off a 70' tabletop and dislocated my shoulder, broke my humerus, broke my wrist and tweaked my neck once at a LLAQ in rural Georgia and it took them 7 hours to get me to and then admitted in the hospital to get a morphine drip. It was pure hell for those 7 hours. Grenading my ACL/MCL and breaking my femur both hurt less than the arm. Good thing Kenny has access to the best Dr's. Hopefully he can get 100% for Outdoors.

I dislocated my elbow once, hurt like a mother**ker and didn't get pain meds for like 5 hours. Can't imagine what he has gone trough and what's ahead of him.
