I'm guilty. When I first got into racing, I bought a pair of those denim riding pants with a Yamaha logo up the side. What a dork.

Hey Andrew
I have been riding about 4 days week now that the snow melted.
Lately we have had tons of rain though.

Glad I have a track next to the house.
I've actually spent all day here draining the water off the track so I can ride this weekend.

I WANTED that stuff. I didn't even have my bike yet. I would sit and stare at that page day after day.
My dad had the vented visor half way down the page on the left side.

Lee doesn't come out till it's between 68 and 74 degrees and the soil has a 67% moisture content. Lee can predict the riding season up north too. If he doesn't see his shadow he won't ride for six weeks. You better make it to Crystal Falls, Lee.

Thats what I wore when I first started. Thanks for pulling me back into the darkest days of riding. Thought Id forgotten (or hoped I had) about that crap gear. FOAM for kneepads????? Thankfully I was slower than a boozed-up turtle, a wreck going any faster would destroy knees.........

Guilty as charged.

Didn't those pants have pocket in the inside for some shitty padding. And look at that vented visor, didn't that made you fast like a mother fucker. Chest protector?? That isn't even a roost protector. The shit looked like a bib for some fat Italian baby. We can't laugh though, at one time or another we all wore that on the outside of our jersey.

Those pants with the name down the side. I can't lie, I had a pair, and the name wasn't on their too well. Cheap shit! Seriously, I had a pair with SONNY down the side, looking all welfare and shit at Broom Tioga. Coming down the back hill I took a shitter and it pealed off. But that was OK, cause I was now representing NY.

I remember thinking, I was all that with the denim and red stripe down the leg and the boots with fifteen buckles.
