He said t was the last year for him in the 250 class... he wanted a 450 ride this year but the rides were all taken and Mitch gave him another shot.
Cheers for the clarification BV!

Hey did you guys remember how good he was 450 outdoors? He tried !! We all wish we had his career and we would do the same if we kept getting good rides in 250! He is from Ecuador he didn’t start like all guys, his path wasn’t the same! I don’t understand how people who supposed love this sport can say he should retire...

imo he did everything right but probably deserves a docking. Doesnt look like he "saved" his crash until he was in that lane. In a perfect world he'd have broken out his rule book and known he should have let the field pass but what rider do you know that'll slow down once a race starts.

Neither of us are bagging the guy... Was just curious about his comment after his heat win?

Sorry Ezza, you sir are a legend ! I meant to quote the guy saying that he should retire or move up. In my defense I’m kind of drunk having fun and kind of sad after what happened to Davalos, even tough I’m not from Ecuador I root for him ! We latín Americans are united !

Looked like he was moving soon after the crash, and was up and sitting on his bike by the 2nd or 3rd lap. Bike probably torn up.

As long as he is not docked any more than 7 positions I am happy Smile

Though seriously not sure what else he could have done, he was back on track rolled for a bit, he could not keep rolling the jumps on the first lap to go further back through the field, that would have been crazy dangerous, just ask Barcia!

He settled in lost only a couple of spots. It was a pretty impressive night for him all round.

Yes that was golden haha.. I don’t know there wasn’t too much he could do there other than stopping, waiting for pack to go and then re-entering.
He had a good ride, I’d say it was worth it no matter what

If you dock Savatgy for what he did last week but nothing for this....come on! Yes he should have let the pack by not just the first 5

I'd like to hear an update on him and the others involved in the crash too. Watching the replays, it looked so violent for Marty as his head slammed into the ground right before he got hit by a front tire of another bike. So brutal.

Full crash replay

Exactly. I even told my wife when it happened ,they're going to red flag this one. But they didnt. Never thought they'd even be close to cleaning up that mess. But, when 25-30 % of the class is knocked out in the first turn, they really should have a re-start. And 174's head needs to be examined. It appeared he didn't even see/know the first turn was there, he blew through the entire pack. Amazing that someone didn't get critically hurt.

At first I thought this was all Osby's fault. I rewatched it many times from Weege's breakdown video here:

http://racerxonline.com/2018/02/19/watch-jason-weigandt-breaks-down-the…

Stop it frame by frame when Osby first comes onto the screen at the very top. He is just about dead even with Davalos, and has the most inside line possible. A few frames later, Davalos has about 2-3 ft on him, and then very quickly comes from the middle all the way over to the far left leaving Osby no room. I think Davalos did it to himself by pinching off Osby so much. He didn't have enough room to close the door like that. He needed a couple more feet on him to pull that off.

He took a brutal slam however he was all over that start straight before getting punted...in the replay it look as if maybe the landing of a jump made Osby loose contact with the ground for a second. I could be wrong though.

The fact the tuff blocks ended before the actual inside of the corner began allowed the inside riders to go up the landing of the finish and get loose. In a perfect world the tuff blocks would have went further into the corner and allowed a defined first turn that would have slowed the riders more. But hindsight is 20/20.
