Seems like the two most capable riders without factory rides right now are Dean Wilson & Josh Grant. Dean has said he'll be at Anaheim this year pitting out of a Sprinter van again on whatever brand he feels most competitive on and which one gives him the most help. I haven't heard anything about Grant, although he recently smoked everybody at the Vet Championship on a Kawasaki.

Of the two, who do you think will be on a factory bike the soonest in the 2019 SX season...?

Who has better connections at a team that seems to have more bad luck?

Grant has been around the team carousel several times, JGR, HRC and Geico Honda, and factory Kawasaki.

While Wilson has been pretty much on the Husky/KTM and PC Kawasaki 250F programs his whole career. (besides the 4 races on the privateer Yamaha).

Would Wilson's personal sponsorship wit rockstar, preclude him from taking a fill in ride with a team sponsored by one of the other energy drinks?

Methinks personally that Dean is the "freshest" and most likely to score a ride first, since he's younger and has fewer ties at home. Josh Grant has been "around the block" so to speak...and has seemingly burned a few bridges. Dean, on the other hand seems like he's kept some valuable friends like Mitch Payton and Jeff Ward.
