if you run it with the x-fun tanks and rmz shrouds it would look killer

I think that it would look really sweet with yellow plates/white backgrounds

I have 2 new white tanks to install. I would love to see the rear fender available in White.
Stock white shrouds.
White side panels.
I run green 2015 KXF front plate and fender.
Custom green and white seat cover.
Really a Kawi green kit is what I would like, but that's not going to happen. Not a fan of yellow or black, but been on Suzukis since 2001.

Couldn’t agree more. Can’t understand why they would release grey but not white... happy they did something for us RM guys but damn.. I only planned on the rear fender/sideplates because I have the xfun tank and 18 rmz front end already. Suppose I’ll just get the sideplates.

The original stuff looks way better.
Agreed. Looks like ass.

I can understand updating the number plate and front mudguard but this looks like a Yamaha update fucked some yellow plastic and was raised by KTM step-parents.

BLURGH.

In my opinion the problem whit the kit is that the shroud stick so far forward, that it looks almost like a lethal weapon.

A nice graphics kit with black on the tank to match the shrouds might work.

The black on the tank definitely makes up for the constraints of the tank they had to work with when designing the shroud. Nice middle ground there. They should offer a graphic kit with the black on the botttom of the tank and a modern kit for the shroud I think thats the best your gonna do if you keep the tank.

That looks great imo. Can someone photoshop some graphics on this?

This reminds me of the yz kit. Someone designed a cf tank that takes a newer shroud to make it so the shroud covers the tank and the graphics are on the shroud instead the tank. Maybe they can do an rm tank.

They should make a restyle kit for older rmz's.

There’s a dealership in Idaho that sells them for $615 shipped. Still pretty outrageous for a gas tank but way less than eBay. They fit pretty poorly in my experience and one other guy I know as well.

As an 2006 RM 250 owner... not a chance that restyle kit will see sunshine on my bike... the fuel tank just doesn't sit right with those futuristic pointed shrouds. I'm not on the RMZ fender / number plate band wagon either.... I have hoped for a restyle kit, but this one just doesn't do it for me.
Ha! Aktiv Graphics! I had chad design that kit for my 06 RM 250 back in 2015. Damn, does it look good!

Yep I was going off of the 2004 factory bikes for that kit with a bit of a modern twist. I loved the Yamaha, thanks. Man I like that kit you did, 01 factory style right?

My 04 RM is going to stay stock for the summer, but this fall it will be my best one yet.

Yes... 01, TP retro style for my 06 RC Edition. I've had so many compliments on that 04 kit, you did a great job putting it together. I told Chad at Atkiv, I wanted that same kit!!! I know of 3-4 other 04+ models that have the kit.

Two good things that can come out of restyle kit release:
1. Good reason to get another RM, so you have one standard and one restyled.
2. Bikes will probably go up a little as far as resale value.
