PSA: Don't leave your bikes in an open pickup truck at night or the price of your trip will likely go up by about ten grand

I’m from NY as well, grew up in Vernon (near you). Went to Tomahawk in WV one year. Including gas and the room, the 4 of us brought $500 each and we were fine. I don’t really know what it would cost if I was going alone. But as the guy above me said, don’t leave a damn thing unsecured, people are assholes.

From rome, wanted to go down to Club MX with just me and a friend. Should $500 each be enough to stay for around a week would ya say?

If you go travel on a tight budget it’s tough. Miscellaneous expenses/repairs could throw a wrench in things. If people are avg $500 I’d be prepared to spend $750 just incase. Hopefully nothing happens but I’ve had friends run out of money on trips and it’s just a facepalm

Third week of February I am planning on Buds Creek and Tomahawk and will be a first for me as well. We've both budgeted $500 for the eek including rooms and fuel and I think we'll be fine

Fuel is pretty self explanatory - determine the trip miles, vehicle mpg, and amount of people + your bikes consumption. Riding fees are easy to determine. Lodging - I’d say 75-85/night for a cheap hotel or 100-135 for a nice (recommended) hotel, and then divide by the amount of people. Food and drinks etc are variable.

Depending the size of the camper there may be $500 in gas right there.

Like above check riding fees. Find somewhere to stay in the rv free.

I’d say $100/day for riding fees food and something to do.

Since getting into RVing my wife bought into Thousand Trails for a 1 year membership at $1000 to test it out. There are many different plans going up to a buy in of $8000 One negative is they are mainly in ocean lining states.

We are going to Florida a couple days before Christmas and staying in Thousand Trails RV parks starting in Vero Beach FL and the Mesa track is 2-3 miles from it. We will be staying at 2 other parks and riding at Sand Lot and Croom and staying at Thousand Trails RV parks the whole time for 2-3 weeks.

Thousand trails can be very complicated where you have to move around from park but this 1 trip alone pays for the rest of the year.

If you can make it out to 3 Palms just North of Houston you won't be disappointed.

Bring lots of singles!

If you make it to FL the tolls roads get pricy fast.

Really? What exit? Woohoo

In Jersey don’t bother with singles you need $10s $20s and $50s and that’s for a truck now tack on a trailer!

Both good tracks. You can get Hookups at Tomahawk if you call or reach out. They’re usually only open Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday though. Budds is open everyday weather depending. Doubt you’ll have to pay much for camping if you stay at either track. If I were you, I’d keep going south to like JWTF. It’s getting cold around here. Weinerts is like $20 to ride and maybe like $30 a night for water and electric hookup. Dump station on site too. You’re 20min from the Outter Banks so plenty of places to eat and all that. Plus West Craven is 30 minutes away, can rain all night and the track will still be perfect the next day.

I"m headed to Florida to do some Florida trail riders races this winter and i"m thinking about just staying in a campground. If you have a camper you can find a nice campground and just leave your camper. For the guys from new England that dont want to go all the way to Florida ,Lake Sugartree is a nice place. They have hookups and Ryan takes great care of the track.

We have one in our county here in Tennessee. It used to be NACO, but Thousand Trails bought them out.

You might check with the track in Waldo Florida. We camped and rode there for a week.

Double check, but pretty sure Clubmx practice track is only open on weekends. JWTF and West Craven in North Carolina are both open 7 days a week and are only about 45 minutes apart.
