I never really realized until last night how much I like the picture in picture feature on the broadcast. The battle up front was about as good as the battle just behind with Barcia, Tomac, and Roczen. How many times have we been watching the broadcast only to hear the crowd roar and wonder WTH just happened. I swear I had each eye of mine splitting duty watching each race. That was some good production for a change.

Instantly turns my 65" screen to 22" screen. Why is so much of the pip format not used for picture? There is wayyy too much background that wastes about 40% of the screen area.

Move the scoring pylon to top of screen scroll, use now increased horizontal inches to maintain 16:9 pip in rest of screen area. Or just go to 4:3 PIP and split it.

DROP ALL THE BLUE BACKGROUND!

Top scrolling scoring is annoying as hell. Takes your eyes off the action if you're trying to find specific riders. Much prefer the way it's setup now.

Agreed. The scoring list should be across the top regardless and taking up much less space.

Or last night when it was the same battle but the big PIP was about five seconds behind live?

1. The scoring pylon does not need to be so wide. They should do like F1 and just use first 3 letters of last name and it's truly comical that they feel a need to show separation between riders to three decimal places.

2. They don't need to show two or three damn riders faces on the pylon just cause they're talking about them. Who gives a fuck what they look like and it blocks half the rides position.

3. They don't need to show the on track commentators face in the smaller picture while they're making some stupid ass remark just to give them air time. I don't need to see that damn chick or Blair while they're talking about the lead riders dog.

4. They don't need to show some riders girlfriend clapping in the stands in the smaller picture while they're talking about the rider or he's just made a pass.

The production is a shit show. They should watch a F1 race to see how to do it properly.

I absolutely hate the dual picture screen. Like others have mentioned, it wastes so much space. Most people are watching on 50in or so tvs and its still kind of small on each of the 2 smaller screens. I agree that the positions should scroll, so its out of the way. Just overall a terrible layout, but it is what it is.

Both screens should and could be bigger. Less dead Blue screen around the perimeter.

THIS.

If you have a TV smaller than 50 inches let alone not placed directly in front of you...enjoy watching a 20 inch battle for the lead and a 30 inch battle for 7th.

Why they are using so much space for backround graphics?

Because it was laid out by a graphic designer who probably has no clue what they are watching.
