Yeah why would you want to bring in a former 450 outdoor champion for the last round of the outdoor season that would bring untold amounts of media and fan hype to your team.... I mean that is just caraaaaazy! WhistlingWhistling

They need to have a bike on the track. They have no 450 riders left. Peick has surgery this week, bogle and Hill are out.

He doesn't need any team tactics...and neither Medaglia nor Joey would be high enough in the fray to interfere with Musquin anyhow.

Dang Medaglia can't even get a new jersey from Astars and has to put new numbers over his
old. Obviously the old name and number are sublimated into the jersey so it's not the end of the world but still.

Come on Astars you're already sending someone there with Barcia and Anderson's gear just throw some stuff for Medaglia in there.

LOL, hopefully T-Dags can get some new gear. But good to see him racing Ironman again. I'm a big fan of Tyler, partly because he's a kick ass cyclist as well. A couple of years ago he raced the Canadian cyclocross championships in Elite and finished 14th or something. Impressive.

I think it would be fair to say that every Aussie on vital, so many of us that were offended when Chad said he could beat anyone on the Australian team that was chosen for mxon, are hoping like hell that Chad gets that JGR ride and fronts for iron man...it's his chance to put up or shut up.
If he thinks that he could beat Kirk Gibbs, Mitch Evans or Hunter Lawrence , straight up in 2x 30 min motos in a high pressure international race situation, then I think it's fair that we expect him to be at least top 6 in both motos at iron man..
I really hope he races and I really hope he excels, this social media whinging bullshit is just plain embarrassing, not the sort of thing Brett Mettcalfe would ever d.o

That is not a fair bet. From what I have heard and read, he isn't in top form yet due to recovery from the ankle, but is working hard to get there. MXDN is still many weeks away. He will be in better shape by MXDN.

I would put the house on it that he would beat Gibbs and Evans. They both look fast at home battling, but put them in the grind of AMA or mxgp and they would placing similar to what Todd Waters is.

I like to know what Reed thinks about the JGR Suzuki in comparison to his Husqvarna.

I'm a big Reed fan, but what makes you think he would fare any better than Waters who is also coming off injury, currently is in the MXGP?

Gibbs faired pretty well last year at MXoN.

Evans is an unknown on the international scene as of yet, but as a 19-year-old he certainly kept Ferris honest on the toughest track of the series in Aus at Coolum.

Not saying Chad is not a better choice than Gibbs or Evans, but I would not go putting my house on it until seeing Chad race. Who knows where his actual pace is at maybe it is better than the current guys, maybe it's not close.

Would be awesome to see him line up this weekend, all questions would be answered to some degree.

Waters coming off injury? He did his collar bone before Herlings did his, that’s not an excuse anymore and his on a factory Honda.

Gibbs did do well last year, great starts in the rain definitely helped, but if you look at his Aus results he and Waters were always on par.

Evans raced mxon for Aus 2 years ago, check his results he got monstered, to his credit though he was a late call up after Jay Wilson went down.

I still believe Reed would have no problem handling any of these guys in Aus with the exception of maybe Ferris and Lawrence.

Takes a while to get custom gear done and this was more than likeky a last minute decision. That said a new set of gear with his name and number ironed on couldn't be that hard to get. I'm just pumped some of our guys will be heading down for the last round.

I would have loved for some of them to show up at Unadilla and Southwick as well since they're a short drive away but none made the drive at those rounds.

Tyler has a great bike and he rode well all year so he should do pretty good.
