Paging Kenny!!
" Here’s the twist: Pastrana won’t be performing the stunts on a dirt bike, he’ll attempt the jumps on an Indian Scout FTR750. Pastrana wants to jump a motorcycle that was similar to the ones Evel used. "
He must of saw your Indian motorcycle thread , and decided to join the club.
Side note : Travis is nuts.
And there goes Jeffro. One of God's own prototypes. A super high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Haha....I love that he’s doing it on a heavy bike and not a 450
Well it's still not the SAME as what Knievel used. Travis will have new technology suspension and components. Put him on one of Evil's old bike's and let him try?
I never said he couldn't do it. I'm just saying there is not as much comparison in bikes as they lead to believe. He could do it in his Rally Car, Travis is Nuts!
Well as someone who was around for Evil and went to his Snake River jump (rocket launch) and someone who has seen Travis’s life on a bike I have no doubt in my mind that Travis’s skill on two wheels far surpasses Evils and anything that Evil jumped, using Evils bike Travis could do the same without breaking the bones Evil did.
Well, it's way more ballsy than doing it on an RM250-
Bigger stones than most humans
Current rides-
1988 RM250
2019 KX450
I believe the Caesers Palace jump was done on a Triumph. I wonder how many jumps Evel actually did on H-D's?

I'm with you on this one. IMHO Travis has to be in the discussion for the most talented person to ever ride a dirt bike.
No one is claiming that. here is the quote.
"Here’s the twist: Pastrana won’t be performing the stunts on a dirt bike, he’ll attempt the jumps on an Indian Scout FTR750. Pastrana wants to jump a motorcycle that was similar to the ones Evel used.
“It was extremely important to use a motorcycle similar to the ones Evel jumped. The Indian Scout FTR 750 is just that, a modern-day evolution of the flat track motorcycles of the past,” said Pastrana. “It has the power I need and handles well, but I’m only going to have a few days to get comfortable on it, not to mention I’ve never jumped a V-twin before. I’ve got my work cut out, but we’re used to going big at Nitro Circus, so we’ll make it happen.”

The new Indian is made to turn left not go up and down. They may do a few TT races where they get off the ground , but they still land like a ton of bricks.

There's a real possibility that Indian is looking to offer these in larger quantities to the public. What better way to promote this than to hire to Travis pull on the heart strings of Evel Knievel nostalgia by jumping 3 of Evel's "stunts" on an Indian FTR750.
Don't look now but you guys are talking about it...Mission Accomplished Indian...Mission Accomplished.
I would love to have a new Indian 750 and would like to have a old HD XR750 flat tracker too but neither one would ever get the back wheel off the ground, I would only turn left.

You haters need to look at it the other way... If Evel had a 2008 Suzuki RM250, he would have used it.
Jeez...be careful Travis and good luck!
