Glad there is still a race in So Cal, but I hate Fox Raceway for a national. Just not a fan of it.

I currently live really close to there so I can drive there and back relatively easily. I'm definitely planning to show up early and leave early so I can avoid as much of that horrible traffic jam as possible. Looking forward to seeing what they do with the track this year!

That one highway off of I-15,,,that's got to be a cluster getting in and out.

Sure you live close, but the road from the 15 to the track is SINGLE LANED and is going to be bumper to bumper from the track all the way onto the 15. Mark my words. You're probably better off bringing a bicycle and parking at the Mobil Gas station just off the 15 and riding your bicycle to the track. Grinning

Seems like I used some backside road from Temecula once..not that it won't be backed up also.

This has been in the works for a while now. I talked to the owners a few months ago and they were hinting at the possibility. They're also widening the entrance and making a new exit out the back of the track which should help.

That's great, I know many didn't love it but Pala offered some serious racing. I still fondly remember the Piurcel and Canard battle, what a day and what a shame. Villo and Dungebag when RV lost his hand off the bars was also an epic encounter.

Got off the phone with Pala 2 minutes ago, wanted to make a weekend out of it. Yep $329' for Friday night and $349' for Saturday. So minimum $678' (Minimum) for 2 nights. Plus parking and whatever else they tack on. I'm 45 minutes away normally but after the traffic we encountered the other 2 years it was here it was either get rooms or forget it. Looks like we'll be watching from the couch

I just made reservations at the Pala casino RV resort. $ 77 per night. 30 something sites still available. Looks about 2 miles from the track.

Good luck finding a good spot to watch the race. No matter where you sit you will only be able to see about 20 percent of the track. Most of the time you will not see the leaders. Be ready for a nightmare drive from the track too. After seeing so little of the race and sitting in traffic so long the last time I will be watching it at home.

Nope everything is set in stone. The podium finishers just have to go shake the VIP's hands, take selfies with them, and give them their autographed race jersey's. Its called the "Glen Helen clause."

This is a total bummer. That is not a track or location (with access issues) worthy of getting a national again. Its bad for the fans on TV and in person (viewing there is terrible in person). They will probably be back at GH after another bust at Pala in 2019.

Yawn...hate watching the pros race on muddy concrete.

Bring back Broome-Tioga and Make Unadilla Great Again, tell the Dilla’ owners to chillax on the man made jumps.

Bicycles are a great option, just bring a lock and cable to chain it up outside the gate.
I park in town and ride my dual sport to Glen Helen and rode it to Pala too. I park my bike in the pits by the KTM rig and ride right out, when the race is over. It’s the way to go...

Bummer. Glen helen is my favorite track but sounds like the track owners are difficult people to say the least.
