Why yes, yes, they were.

Wise was such an all around great rider in many formats during his career, others may have had the ability to do the same, but he went out and proved it.

Magoo really had things going his way at that point in his career. He had so much talent, tenacity, and the balls to boot.

Of course those red bikes were pretty frikkin kickass on their own then and just further inspired confidence in those talented enough and fortunate enough to get chosen to ride them.
