What is everyone taking when riding.
Edited Date/Time:
I hate preworkouts, won’t even touch them. Just stay hydrated.
During riding, Pedialyte or Gatorade at half strength and something like a banana with nuts, etc. Something that has natural simple carbs that your body will break down easily combined with a fat/protein source. My dad swears by peanut and jelly sandwiches FWIW. A good trail mix is good too but I like to make my own because the stuff you buy at the store is so salty.
Post I like protein drinks, water, daily multivitamins and fish oil. And big clean meals.
Personally I don’t believe in paying $$$$ for all the big name, full spectrum supplements, like a certain ex-rider and current fitness trainer sells. That doesn’t mean I don’t think they work, but I’m not an elite-level athlete and don’t believe those systems are worth the money for me.

The chocolate milk thing is for real. Studies have shown its a better recharge than sports drinks.

But all the other days i eat like crap and gain weight lol!
Hammer Nutrition has most of what you’ll need if you’re in to supplements.
Most people just need a decent diet and water.
Chocolate milk does work as a recovery. Weird.
A little bit of carbs before, Nunn Tablets or Skratch hydration, then, like everyone says, Chocolate Milk!

Drink for hydration, eat for calories (Apple, Banana, Orange, Nuts, raisins, Clip bar, chips, cookies).
Looking at the girth of most Americans, we are not short on daily calories.
I don't take supplements. I'm afraid my favorite rider is going to look up into the stands and see me, then somehow pickup 1/100000000th of a picogram of a banned substance from my intense stare. He'll get busted and thrown into career limbo for a decade while Wada decides what his suspension should be.
Braaapin' aint easy.

I knew a fitness coach whose mantra was “Eat real good. If your grandmother wouldn’t recognize it, it isn’t real food.”
I’ll take a little preworkout before going to the gym, but never before riding. With the arm pump I get already, last thing I need is something that’s going to amplify that. I’ll have a small cup of coffee, though.
