Brea, CA (August 29, 2018) – The Autotrader/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing Team is pleased to announce that Alex Martin has signed a two-year contract to race the Suzuki RM-Z250. The multi-race winner and title contender will contest the 250 regional Supercross series and 250 National Championship.

Hailing from Millville, Minnesota, Martin has an impressive racing resume. The 28-year-old has earned two National wins, three Supercross podiums, 18 outdoor podiums, and a combined 84 top-ten finishes. Martin has twice finished runner-up in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.

“I’m very happy to be joining the team and excited for the next two years,” stated Martin. “The resources that the Autotrader/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing Team has to offer, along with the facility at JGRMX in North Carolina, will be a huge benefit. Suzuki is coming out with a brand-new RM-Z250 for 2019, and I’m excited to get great results on the bike. I am looking forward to the next few years!”

Autotrader/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing team manager Jeremy Albrecht is eager to work with the veteran. “I’m pumped that a rider of Alex’s caliber will be on the all-new Suzuki RM-Z250. Our goal is to win races, both in Supercross and the Nationals. Alex is extremely disciplined, a proven winner, and has that hunger to succeed. I feel really good about our chances in 2019 and beyond.”

Finally official! Hope Alex does well on the new bike. I'd hate to see him go backwards and JGR needs a rider that can finish top 5 indoors and out on a 250

I wish Troll the best! Suzuki used to always have top guys in the small bore class in the 125 days, and I hope this new bike and JGR Factory effort can help Suzuki back up at the top of the leader board.

In supercross Idc what anyone says that’s a good bike. It won’t hold Alex back but outdoors will be the real test.hopefully that new bike is what jgr needs

Good for Amart. A lot of work and dedication rewarded for him and his family. Anyone else notice he will be 30 when the contract is up ?

Imagine that he´s career would been over 6 years ago if he raced MXGP series.

A-Mart isn't "form Texas" but I'm sure Tyler is excited just the same.

Lets hope Suzuki knocked some weight off that new 250... Coming off a works KTM 250F will have him spoiled by now. Especially for Outdoors.

Man I hope they can get that bike working. It's a long way off the PC, Star & KTM bikes.

AMart having a good season next year will be exactly what JGR needs to prove they're a legit 250 effort. I'm kind of wondering if there will be a opportunity in the second year for him to bump up to the 450 like Hill did?

I doubt his second year is 450 option, likely 250.

I imagine having your brother get busted up pretty good in the same class you are racing has an affect on you, even if you say it doesn't

As light as A Mart is I don’t think the Suzuki’s lack of power in the 250f will effect him as much as it would say plessinger Grinning
