I'm finally going to make the trip up to Horn Rapids this weekend. Never been there before. Heading up Friday evening and be riding all day Saturday and probably half of Sunday. If you see a Husky 125 with a #503 or a guy on a new Husky 250 with no numbers ( might be wearing a jersey? ) .....say hello! Hope to meet up with some of you guys.

Gotta finish the break in on the new 250 and try to get familiar with it.

Let's roost!

Horn isn't bad they groom it regularly now you should have hit washougal last weekend track was actually really good. The one thing I don't like about horn is some days the wind is bad which makes jumping sketchy.

Plan on riding my brains out both days. Not sure when I'll be able to make it back up that way again.

And Joe....I wish I would have gone to Washougal too. Albany was not that good. But with some bike issues I had....I was lucky I was at Albany. Would of been easier to get the bike back to the pit.

And Ben.....you too brother. Always nice to go cut laps with you.

Haha yep! Got in like 4 little 2 - 3 lap rides in and the rear wheel was locking up. Has a faulty rear brake master cylinder. Brakes work , but wouldn't realease pressure enough so the pads would drag. They would heat up and start to lock the rear wheel. I have the shop replacing it tomorrow. So it should be good to go. I hope.

I was a little bummed but the track kinda sucked ...so no biggie. This weekend should be prime and hopefully no bike issues. Should be epic! So Freakin' weird owning this 250. I sit on it and it feels just like my 125.....just with a shit ton more power haha. Especially on the bottom. I'll end up loving it!

Haha that's awesome Jeffro! A 16-18 TC250 is the next bike on my list after a new 450. Gotta get a YZ125 in there somewhere too. But those 16-18 Husky's are just so simple and so good to look at!

Check your pedal adjustment. Pretty common on Husky/KTM to not have enough freeplay to release pads.

We hit Horn two weeks ago and main track was stellar. Lips stayed good all day and layout flowed well. Area 51 was a bit dry but always a blast to change things up. We would be headed over if wasn't dry enough to ride at home or locally this weekend. Washougal & home track was perfect last weekend and looks to be good this weekend as well. Pretty uncommon for a November in NW.
We roll in a black Ford Excursion with black enclosed trailer - 228 & 428 on KX250F's & 210 on Husky 85's if you are ever see us..............

That place is fun. Reminds me of So Cal tracks. Keep an eye on the forecast for any wind. It can get crazy there! Have fun!

FWIW some brembos having issues out of the factory is nothing new. My 03 450 SX had the same problem on the front brake first ride. Dealer took a new assembly off a bike on the showroom floor and never had another issue.

Hopefully you got all the bugs out of it now. Cool

That's what the shop said as well. The service guy said he has to replace a few of them. It's not super common , but not rare either. He said that the casting doesn't get cleaned out all the way and blocks the relief port. Even if it's only 90% blocked , once that pad rubs , heats things up and will just slowly close that caliper like a vise. Which is exactly what mine was doing.

It’s a one owner 96 with less than 20 hours of logging road time on it. Got from my boss, original title.

Ya Albany last Sunday honestly wasn't very good. They said that they had already winterized the water system.
The track was either hard and dusty or muddy. Not much else. Wasn't my favorite layout either... They do a great job down there and don't get enough credit for a tough job.
