If you are in town for Washougal this is a must see/ride. For most of us, this is the only time we will race in front of 5000+ people. It's a hell of a fun evening.

If you come, look me up! We'll be on the pavement near the 3 flag poles. Big double canopy, hard to miss. My boy will race our 79 RM125 in the vintage moto that evening. I'm out for racing - got a mild concussion last week so taking a couple weeks to recover.

Pro race is fun to watch. But 100% not worth the money for two laps of practice and a single 4 lap moto

There's not much in moto that's "worth the money". Ain't stopping me from a good time tho!

Since 1971, I believe ? Took the train from downtown Portland in 2012. That race is a gem. There were some extremely large hucks……

Don't take the train now, and avoid downtown Portland. It's a dumpster fire, often literally. But PIR is still the same, and there will be a big huck right before Lanphere's Leap this year.

Very true, but that’s a hard pill to swallow for 4 laps. That being said, I left the bike in Cali and I’ll be hittin mt hood tomorrow before PIR. It’s a great event! My buddy’s dad is the announcer. Got up here yesterday can’t wait for some racin

I second this post. PIR pro night is an epic moto event/party. I bet there are at least 1,000 spectators and the pro's get wild chasing the purse. I am also racing the SeeSee vintage race on my buddies '91 CR500 #32. I raced it last year and had a blast. I'm also going to race 40+ on the #56 GasGas 450 TLD My two sons are racing open and BTH on their GasGas 125's #76 and #85. We'll be parked behind the vintage bikes with Rory in the Red and White Outlaw class C motorhome. Traktor, are you going?

I used to think the same as you until I raced it last year. It's only $25 per class. You can enter 2 or 3 classes and get a decent amount of track time. Lining up in front of such a big, fired up crowd is pretty exciting. It's also fun to just go for the show as well.

Let us know who shows up tonight please. Heat and main recaps would be nice too, but I won't hold my breath.

Dad and I are heading up tonight, we’re looking forward to some good racing! Was at Albany Mx yesterday and caught some of the pros prepping up for the weekend. I always love the week leading up to Washougal in the NW. Feel like a kid in a candy store!

Hell yea! Love the vintage bikes. We will scout you out and say hello. Love connecting with more of the NW community when possible. Cheers!

We are loaded up and will head over soon. Look for #500 KTM125 in the 125 class, and same rider on the #40 79 RM125N in the Vintage race. I'd race too but on concussion protocol for another week.

We park on the pavement by the flagpoles - look for a black, double-wide popup with an RD400 under it.

Weather is awesome and I'd expect 350 amateurs, 25 Pros, and 4-5000 spectators.

Mike

Looking forward to it Mike. I can't make it due to working late. If you get a chance can you snap a pic of the finishing order at the end of the night?

Just got home from riding some north Idaho singletrack and it’s $6+ per gallon so it adds up quick.

Take pics if you go tonight

You might be able to make it for the main.
Last time I was at this race was when I met up with you in 2014 and we pounded some beers.
I dont think the main happened until after 9PM.
