Lance Armstrong responded to Ferrari's guilty verdict for malpractice in the Italian Court case:
"I was disappointed to learn of the Italian court's judgment against Dr. Michele Ferrari. Dr. Ferrari has been a longtime friend and trusted adviser to me and the USPS team, during which time he never suggested, prescribed or provided me with any performance-enhancing drugs... However, I have always said that I have zero tolerance for anyone convicted of using or facilitating the use of performance-enhancing drugs. As a result of today's developments, the USPS team and I have suspended our professional affiliation with Dr. Ferrari as we await the release of the full verdict..."[9]
In written testimony for the suit, Armstrong admitted under oath that Ferrari had been one of four individuals who had supplied him with PEDs during his cycling career.[16][17]

Maybe the problem isn't other riders and their alleged "illegal" practices so much as it's the fact that they've actually dedicated themselves to trying to be successful at their craft and haven't taken their opportunities in the sport for granted. Maybe they are interested in being successful all the time, instead of "refocusing" themselves every couple of years for a short period of time until the going gets tough........
Maybe.
What was the name of that dr. Jeff??

Most were developed originally by the Germans to promote a stronger, healthier, longer lasting soldier. Also, amphetamines, aka Adderal to combat fatigue.

Some were paid spokespersons.......and then they tried to say they never actually used anything. LOL
