They have Forkner for next year and Seth Hammaker coming up from Ams. I'm guessing that Marchbanks will get a one year extension...if so they'd have one open spot.
I feel like Jordan Smith would immediately become a consistent top contender if he comes over to PC Kawi. Similar to Webb going to KTM. Not that TLD is a bad team, it just seems like some guys flourish on certain bikes and certain teams. Plenty of guys had stellar careers with PC Kawi and did nothing anywhere else. I just have a feeling Smith would be one of those guys.

Vice versa as well. Wiemer went from factory connection to PC and won a championship. Also tickle going from Yamaha to PC and winning a championship.

His problem is staying off the ground.
He was in position to win the 2017 east coast SX but cart wheeled at Vegas.
He would of won the east coast title this year (assuming Forkner still went out with injury) if he hadn’t crashed on his own and hurt wrist (with a couple of laps to go).
I think next year he should mature a bit more and become a threat no matter what colour his bike is. PC kawi won’t make a difference ! He’ll make a decision based on best $$$ available and if he rides opposite coast to Forkner he might have a shot at title...

Fortunately, after a few national titles, I think people have stopped asking.

That kid is a badass. Flies under the radar a bit, he's gonna raise more than a few eyebrows.....
He still trades messages at times with my boy. He came out for the start of the 50 races at Lorreta's to find my boy on the line and give him a pep talk and a fist bump. My pup found a new best friend in his mom at the regional when we first met them. Great, humble family.
He wears his Seth hat more then his signed Eli hat. My boy was soooo scared to go say hi to him at first, Seth took time with him really made a memory with my boy, and our family. Will always cheer for him.
We will make the trip to a national once Seth hits the PC rig, until then my boy says he would rather watch on the tv.
I didn't know they had Hammaker moving up, I know zero about him other than he would be a rookie.
I was wondering if they tried to grab McElrath, Nichols or Smith to try to get them up to the next level. Sometimes a change of scenery can do that but otherwise the teams they are all on are great.
A lot of talk on main event moto that PC and Star are attempting to poach a kid or 2 from other teams right at the transition from Am to pro? Have to assume they’re after some of the Geico guys, also wasn’t very clear if they’re going after amateurs or current pros i.e Smith. This will be his 3rd factory team, I cant see large improvements if he were to go to PC.

Well, I guess I’ll take it since nobody else is going to claim the spot.
Somebody have Mitch send me the standard “ rich and famous “ contract so I can sign it and get it back to him ASAP.

I was just getting ready to ask this question as I was reading through this thread. Looking forward to seeing what the kid can do. How old is he, by the way?

Dude was one of the hottest amateurs, but hasn't done much after five years in the 250 class (given what he was expected to do).

PC hasn't had any open spots for a few years.
