We all know the favorites are, so who you got for a dark horse to take the title?

Tomac & Ferrandis are my top picks. Darkhorse or I guess you could call a surprise winner would be Bagget & Lawrence

Tomac is my pick to win it, but barely. Webb is a much bigger threat than most people think. He has some serious outdoor speed when he's on the right bike and feeling confident. Serious speed in the sand too. 2016 Southwick. He was phenomenal. I see a fight between Webb and Tomac for it, with a slight edge to Tomac in the end.
Dark horse is Zach Osborn. He's a pit bull that charges from the gate drop to the checkered flag. He will be a nightmare at times.

250 class I think it's a coin toss between AC and Ferrandis.
My dark horse is Hunter Lawrence. He's fast and aggressive. I can see him surprising everyone.

My dark horse to win is Roczen. I want to see him ride again like he did in 2016 when he won the title. The way he put that big Suzuki anywhere he wanted was mind blowing. Tomac has the momentum on his side though, so it will be tough. Hoping for some great battles.

450 Tomac is the safe bet. Osbourne could be the guy. I'll have to see Webb on the 450 as he is tiny. Why can't KTM get Webb a hat that fits his tiny little head? Anderson hasn't raced for a long time and was never a top outdoor guy. I don't think Baggett's Thumb and wrist healed properly. Roczen's health issues had to have set his training way back. MM25 never has gotten it done outdoors on the 450. JB51, AP7, DW15 are starting out injured. JS17 might get some podiums but lacks consistency. JH46 is not a serious consideration.

I don't see anyone beating A.C. or DF for the championship.
Alex Martin hasn't had the consistency. No one else on a Suzuki. Nobody on a KTM. Nobody left at Procircuit other than A.C.. The Honda guys might take few podiums. I don't understand the hype with Lawrence as he's never really won anything. Covington might be fast but he hasn't ridden the national tracks. Some of the Yamaha guys might surprise.

Didn’t we just see 17 rounds of Webb on the KTM?

I have a feeling Webb is going to be tougher than expected outdoors. Just from the little I've seen of him prepping for outdoors, he looks very smooth and very fast. He's gonna pull a lot of holeshots and then he's gonna be pure hell for Tomac to chase down. He's a warrior and he will get faster as the season goes. Lawrence has been prepping his ass off for outdoors for a while now. He's gonna be fast for sure at Hangtown. He may beat Ferrandis and AC in the initial rounds at least. He looks fast.

How is Tomac a dark horse, is he not a favourite? I'd actually say Tomac will dominate this series.

Osborne is more of a dark horse. Not sure if he can take the title though.

Covington & Savatgy, covington i think could be a title contender and Savatgy a top 3-5 guy.

Also think Marchbanks could surprise some.

Bogle and Savatgy are my dark horse picks for 450 moto wins. Don't think Tomac will allow anyone to take away the championship.

Can Sexton or Nichols be considered dark horse picks for the 250 title?

Dark horse? Baggett or Osborne

Favorite: 3 peat for Tomac - he likes the bike now and is healthy, outdoors is in his element

Should be a very competitive outdoors season. Hoping for no major injuries and a competitive series.

Said it elsewhere but RJ Hampshire is the biggest potential dark horse title threat. He finished the year with a win at Budds and 2nd at Ironman. If he can keep his bad motos from being total disasters he could challenge Ferrandis, Cooper, Amart and AC who I think are the most likely title candidates.

450s I think Savatgy will surprise again. He's coming in a bit banged up but he has his tracks where he's very fast and if he won a moto or overall I would not be surprised. Also, Bogle could deliver some results but he has a limited window before Bloss comes back. Really hope RMATV-MC KTM can find a way to keep Bogle on the track for the whole series.

Really curious how Lawrence will perform. He is so unbelievable smooth, but sometimes for some reason he had big off days in the GP's. Great to see he did some local races the past few weeks to get some gate drops

Justin Cooper and RJ in the 250s. Boogle could have a good year if he stays healthy IMO!

Geez there's a few here who could get stomped on by a black stallion and still not know what a dark horse is.

Definitely Bagget. The guy is riding great. Roczen is my #2 pick who if he gets back even 80-90%...watch out.

Bagget, and RJ Hampshire. Bagget has been a little off the pace, but with potential to step up. RJ has shown some speed and I think enough fitness. It seems he just needs consistency. Maybe something to spark a little more confidence in his abilities.
