So, I've operated under the assumption that Titanium is still the standard being used for such things as rods, plates, and screws when repairing bones. I understand there are some cobalt-chrome alloys used in some cases, but I was under the belief that Ti is the standard, (I had Ti screws andplates two years ago).
Someone who I typically believe doesn't have any clue what they are talking about is insisting "They don't use titanium anymore, it's not strong enough!"
Help me settle this argument.

Titanium is the norm for internal rods but sometimes the screws can be stainless steel
