I'm a Motocross guy. But things have changed so much in the last 30 years. Moto is boxing, and Supercross is MMA. I think we've seen what happens when skilled people in two different disciplines Duke it out. Supercross has made Mx'rs smart and methodical, vs hang it out and twist it. The very reason Bob Hannah didn't want to race Supercross. Truth is we (USA) should have and should always have our hands full when it's USA VS the world.

I can see America giving up soon , which will be sad , I think it’s a great event and seeing one live should be on every Mx fans bucket list , hopefully they get it back to the USA in 3-5 years , as the event will be worse for the Americans not being there

I think the American team (if serious about MXoN) should travel abroad and ride the last 2 rounds of the MXGP series to keep the downtime between when the AMA MX series ends and the MXoN race to a minimum. I also think it would help with getting acclimated to the environment (format of the races, speed of the racers, rough tracks, etc). The 6 week layoff of racing was part of the problem this race. There's no substitute for race pace and its hard to replicate that in practice. I'd love to get the take from the US rider's perspective.

That could work but won't happen because of princess egos.

It was a mistake to put Eli on the 19 KX IMO, and Lady Luck wasn't doing any favors either. We know what needs to be fixed, but it probably ain't gonna happen. Best thing for our guys would be to watch replays of Herlings and AC and replicate their technique, also wouldn't hurt to get the Jap bike's down to a fighting weight... was obvious the KTM and Husky's favored the track conditions... with some bad mofo's that keep the throttle twisted wide open. That's all I got.

There's something happening here, what it is ain't exactly clear.

I think it’s a great idea that might help . It’s time that the American riders started racing the fastest competition in the world , more than once a year . If they want to win the mxon . But I don’t see that happening soon , until more riders start foregoing the 250 supercross meat grinder , in favour of being a moto specialist . If USA had 3-5 guys racing gp regular , the mxon wins would be back .

MXgp riders life is tough. Most of them buy the ride or are lucky to get expenses covered. Not many are making a living. Small teams, high costs, empty grids. To get 5 american boys will require lots of sponsorship from american companies. Only Holland and perhaps Belgium have 5 guys full time in the championship. Even the last one needs lots of talent to get a ride.
