With the unfortunate injury Trey has suffered and the short list of people who are capable of putting in a respectable finish with no ride I think Regal should get the call up from Kehoe to fill in for a few races.

I'd like to take my name OFF the short list and I'll get back on the short bus.

I really don't see a point in Honda filling the spot.
Trey will maybe be gone for a few rounds.
They still have Brayton, Short, Reed.

When I talked to some Honda people about it late last week, they said it was too early to have an exact return date for Trey. If he was only going to mss a round or two as expected, they were likely not going to move someone in to fill the spot.

Then who moves into Barcia's spot ? And it rolls down hill until some hapless C rider gets a hand-me-down from his B

rider older brother, they high - five and say a prayer for Trey - who started it all.

Barcia is riding the 250 on the east coast, which doesn't start till roughly mid season. He could ride the first few west coast rounds on the 450 and nobody would have to fill his 250 spot.

T Hahn. He's already riding a Honda, has no contractual obligations that would interfere (I don't think so anyway), transition should be easy.

If it were MX, Regal would be my pick but Hahn is way better at SX in my opinion.

In that case, if Barcia is in title contention maybe even won a round would they put him back down come east coast rounds?

If Honda was smart they would just move Barcia up full time on the 450 .

i can assure you unfortunately no one has come in lately with that mindset.. they need to start thinking outside the box. And IMO even filling the spot for A1, wil get them possibly more press than Trey himself. Who wouldnt want to follow Top Jimmy, or Hahn, Chisholm, Barcia filling in, or hell, Pourcel.

This series isnt about selling bikes, its selling the brand, and publicity does so.

Honda will get more bang for thier buck with Barcia on a 450 full time . Barcia has proven he can run near the front with the big dogs . Barcia has proven he can complete a full season .

I don't think a fill in rider at the beginning of the season would get much press, considering all the shit going on at the beginning of the season.

The middle of the season, certainly it would be a story on raceday.

And full time 450, honda has Chad, Shorty, Brayton, and Trey, so they are already going to be 4 out of the top 8-10 or so every week.
