I was just talking with DC about the web problems that they had today, and had also talked with one of the AMA guys who specializes in that for them, and they were both super-frustrated.

Basically, it was a denial of service issue (their servers were being attacked). This is the same servers in Colorado that they use for the Supercross season, which have never experienced any issues.

Anyway, he also said that he'll have a bigger explanation soon, but that they did everything that they couldL today to get it back up and running for everyone.

I never understood why servers get shut down when there is a massive amount of web traffic all of a sudden. Guess I really don't understand how it works. Shit, even Vital was dragging pretty bad today for a little while.

I definitely want to hear the deeper explanation. I'll be the first to say, that I was cussing up a storm today. This being said though, as much as this was "plugged" you better have your A game and servers ready.

Why do they have all of the servers on the same line? It looks like they are, anyways...same subnet. They should have two at their headquarters in FL and two in Colorado. They are just talking about lagwire, I suppose?

It was a bit frustrating at times....but I'm not going to complain that I got to see (certainly not hear) most of the moto's LIVE....that is awesome in and of itself....

I applaud mx sports for the effort in getting out there for us...for free...they'll figure it out....
