Not sure if they got rain or not but what a mess. Just deep rut city. Doesn’t look groomed. Very disappointed.

Slot track racing, I don't get why they groom it that way.

I'm Not a fan of the hard pack
Or the slot Racing
I wish they would put some Sand Tracks
On the schedule, more of them
I know there is Southwick

It is just a tough track. There are actually a lot of lines to choose from. I think it is a great track, and it is challenging those riders. Certainly not a follow the leader type track where nobody can make a pass anywhere because everybody is great everywhere.

The track would be fine if they didn’t till it so deep and have so much loam. That loam gets like a foot or more deep. Personally I think they should just groom it better and flattening it good.
I don’t like bitching but when you see other tracks and some of the gp tracks you are wondering how this one can be so bad. Guys feet are off the bike like almost the whole track because the bike can’t stay straight because of all the ruts moving the bike everywhere. The gap between the riders is huge also.

I agree with the criticism of the slot racing but hard pack is part of MX and what the AMA series needs - variety.

A true sand track would also be cool.

I like it. High Point is an awesome track. Riders these days are too soft. Just like they prefer their tracks.

It is not a follow the leader type track. Neither is it a just hold it wide open type track, he who gets the start wins. It is a technical strategic type track. One has to think, and if one does there are a lot of options available. If one is not thinking or gets tired.. well it can bite them very quickly. It definitely is a great track.

Hard pack and rough is fine, deep ripping and slot-o-cross is not. Horrible trend.

It’s just a ugly horrible looking track. Doesn’t even looked like anyone groomed it and some
Areas very wet and other areas dry. I don’t know. Just not a fan. It is what it is though.

Guess you are a MX only practice professional. I grew up woods riding. Rode 100 miler series that is now GNCC. Grooming? WTF is grooming? You mean like a golf course? Please don't get butthurt. I'm just messing with you. I hated riding ruts. But it's the same for everyone. Best man wins.

Well, one way to look at is we've had three rounds of racing so far that were less rutted than in the past and more dried out.

The tracks can be different, one or two mushy rutted tracks challenges the riders overall skills...by example, look at how much it threw Tomac off in that first moto.

I hate slot-car racing as well, but I think this track is pretty tame in HP terms.

Guess you are a badass Autotech, but grooming is part of MX and unfortunately the BS trend of deep ripping is here. Guess it is fun for some and no kidding they all ride the same track. Tracks can be groomed and have plenty of lines and passing instead of single track boredom.

High Point is brutal in real life. I have been there 5 times or so, for a few qualifiers and such. Let’s just say it is not a track I would like to ride for fun haha. It truly separates the men from the boys...and really tests your fitness.

I assume this is about Hi Point. But yea, not a fan of the slot car tracks. At the very least, the corners need to be non rutted so that a multitude of instant line choices are available. When it’s slotted, yes we agree that the track is difficult, but you are racing by only the track. Minimal chance to make a pass. When the turns are open, you can tail the outside, square early, cut in tight then swing outside. Give the riders a chance to race each other and not have to focus 100% on racing only the track.

It always kicked my ass. But if you have anything left at the end of the day you ain't riding hard enough.

Track looks fine to me, lots of lines. The whole point of making passes using different lines is that fact you have to be going faster than the person ahead of you to get around them. I think some of you have a hard time comprehending that little detail.

They really messed up the spectator viewing too. All the places we used to stand are empty, off limits I guess. Glad I can watch it on TV now. Blink And I was surprised how ugly it looked on TV too.

I'm not a big fan of today's track, but I do like that it adds variety. If it was less rutty and faster no way Marvin comes back on Tomac in moto 1. You could see how Marv just figured out the lines better by mid-moto.

You’re a bunch of d bags. High point always been rough as hell. Today no different. This a true equalizer as a race surface.

Worst track....pfft.

High Point is awesome! Deep, technical , hills, etc. I love the mxgp tracks. That’s real Motocross. I remember people complaining about ruts at our local track. I always enjoyed a rough track, not neglected hardpack and boulders rough, but deep loamy rutted, braking bumps etc. Some people want the whole track paved.

I always find it funny to go back and look at older videos of these tracks. Dust, blue groove , different braking bumps, variation from track to track it’s way diff than most recent years where it’s rip, mulch and water.
To ml512’s point though it’s fine for the odd round and they haven’t all been that way this year.

Motocross sucks. Might as well watch it and get on Vital to cry about it.
