Har, Thought the 24-0 reference was a joke as well.
Cool that he either read it or heard about it.

Track looks very good for all the rain we've been getting..Jumps need to be longer/bigger I agree

I asked him about it. I generally lead with questions, but edit myself out, especially on those pieces. Otherwise, it'd have to be two laps. Wink

I like how he said WHEN I'm 20-0 instead of if but I'm sure he didn't mean it in a cocky manner. Also as you can see if you pay attention, they found a solution to the cutting the corners by laying What looks to be PVC pipe perpendicular to the track at all possible points of track-cuttery.

See the area to the right? It was going to be a mudslide, so they did some preventive work on it.

Man can you just imagine? Being Eli on that track and just knowing that out of the 8 billion people on this planet , there isn't one of them that could set a faster lap time than you there. His momentum he carries around the track is just incredible. Not over revving the bike , just keeps it in the meat and lays wood! I could watch his helmet cams all day. Go Eli !!

The way it hauls ass up the hills (esp. at Glen Helen) means it must have a very strong midrange and a ton of torque given he is not revving the tits off it

On this video I didnt hear him hit the rev limiter once, Barcia would hit it every 5 seconds.

Excellent stuff Steve. Good questions equals good responses. Lots of changes to the track this year. Gonna miss that huge leap out of the bottom. Baggett and Tomac hucking out of the gully was impressive. But the most improved thing about Thunder Valley is getting rid of the soccer ball sized rocks from the parking area. I high centered my VW Beetle that first year.

HAR!. I remember sitting in the stands watching a SX and how Jeremy McGrath and other top riders looked so smooth that they made it look easy. When it was my turn to Practice/race I thought to myself "Damn these whoops are friggen deep, the jumps were friggen big".

Guess Tomac is making it look "Boring and flat" track looks fine but I do agree that they should bring back the big leap that is in the back.

Thunder Valley produces great racing. I wouldn't judge it off a short GoPro video which always changes the perspective.

Guys what year was it when the 250 guys had that great battle? There was like 6 - 8 dudes fighting the entire moto till the end in I believe the 2nd moto? 09' -10 ? It was one of the best races I've ever seen.

I can;'t remember the year but I know which race your thinking about. I believe Tommy Searle was in the mix so that will narrow it down a bit.
