After selling my 125 i’ve kinda the itch to pick up a new build. My dad bought a 1991 cr250 to ride with me and my brother but unfortunately never even got to ride it before having to sell it so i’m thinking that’s going to be the route i’ll go but i figured i’d ask a few questions before i pick one up and regret it. It’ll most likely be a 1990-1995 Cr250.
1. how hard are parts to find for a bike that’s older than me?
2. when looking at a bike this old can they potentially be anything that would ruin the budget parts wise because they’re so hard to find?
3. do companies actually produce after markets for a bike that old?
that’s the biggest ones i have but if i think of more i’ll post them below. Thanks!

The Shop
Huge market for 93-96 CR250's though... so definitely something to consider as it relates to buying/selling parts and bikes
Pit Row
BUT......there's nothing cheap about a cheap bike. Im probably in it for $5,000. I could have about bought a brand new KX250F off the showroom floor for as much as I have spent restoring this old dog.
THIS!
If he buys a $200 bike, its going to cost him $3,000 to get it running.
BUY ugly.......BUILD pretty
