Barcia=12th and Peick =5th in practice, are you kidding me!!???

I'm not buying that Barcia has lost that much speed in a year...something is off. What gives Justin?

Phoenix is usually slippery as fuck and Barcia rides at a bazillion rpm.

Pourcel won his first go there. Weimer always does well there. Peick weighs 300 pounds.

Some of these are truth, some i'm being silly.

I honestly don't see what all this fuss is about with Barcia. He seems like a nice kid and might win a few races but he's way overrated. Personally I can't see him winning another title. Ever.

Tracks are easy, bikes are fast, lots of good riders, etc. Barcia also seems to over-ride the 450 to me.

Probably gonna get a lot of shit but Barcia won't be a contender not even for a 3rd over all at the end of the season. I'm guessing he will finish between 6-8

This is just practice and it causes a reaction like this. It's just a half second. Now, would I be surprised if Peick finishes ahead of Barcia by a spot or two? NO

I do expect this to be about a 18 minute main though which I'm not excited about.

yeah man "we talking bout practice here" practice man, practice!!! lol

Obviously that's a play on Iverson but Barcia has definitely not been impressive at all on the JGR bike. He wasn't at MEC, in Europe, not last week and it's not looking good this week. I know he was supposedly rumored to not be gelling with the Honda but I though he was fast on the Honda. I thought his problem on the Honda was his fitness. I know everyone loves Stanton (at least I think that's who his trainer was) but Barcia repeatedly fell off the pace in some outdoor races late in the race. Stanton is no Aldon that for sure!! I think he may have done good on the Kawi as it seems to be a bike that likes to be ridden aggressively.

The REAL question is does anyone have a $1,000 bet on him this week?

Did someone last week? I sure hope not as he hasn't shown any signs of winning on that JGR bike.

Wait for race. I thought he looked kinda fast and comfortable today and was surprised by his results (way too low in the chart). We'll see in an hour

This reminds me of Reed's quote. "I've never been paid to be fast during practice", or something to that affect. It really doesn't mean much.

I'll give you guys the fact that there's not a lot of difference in time between 5th and 12th, but you have to admit, it can't be too good back at the JGR rig, when the 2nd tier rider beats the guy in practice, they are hoping will finally get them a championship.

The team does NOT look at Weston as a 2nd tier rider.....they look at them pretty equally. The fans ( a lot of guys here ) are the ones who label him as a second tier rider.

There were guys in here just last week at this very time that said he would be lucky to get 12th - 15th.......and he's proving every single one of them wrong.

Weston won't be up there like that every weekend.....but to doubt he will do it....is just stupid. He was cracking up close to the top 5 quite a few times last season......why in the hell wouldn't he be able to do it this year.

The lack of respect some of you guys show ( or lack of knowledge ) amazes me sometimes. I don't mean you specifically Machine.....I mean in general.

Give the guy some credit.
