Saw him wheelie through the whoops while looking up into the grandstands one year at Daytona. One of the coolest things I have seen during a race.

I understand why Pastrana initially started looking into other areas besides moto. Once you master something, you lose the excitement of the challenge. He certainly mastered how to ride a motocross bike, no doubt.

Washougal on the 125, wheelied all the way up a hill, launched the jump off the rear wheel only into a heel clicker. 2000...2001?? Always pissed me off that he had such skills, rode for Roger and couldn't keep focused on moto. He seems to have done "pretty good" for himself though.Laughing

I personally wish TP199 would have stayed racing and not went FMX. How many more epic battles would we have to watch if he has stayed racing? Was my favorite rider before he went FMX.

Love this guys style and skill...

Interesting thought, for sure.

I wonder, if he had committed 100% to racing, from 2000 on, where would he be right now compared with RC, Reed and Stew?

Would have been fun..........

Do you think he would ever come back and do a one off race again? When was the last time he raced Daytona?

I know he raced st. louis (the track he designed) a few years back. been at least 3 or 4 though. i remember that being a gnarly track with a really cool rhythm section. yeah it would be a treat!
