Both factory Ktm guys. Id say webb because alot more people know who webb is. Feel bad for saying that because Im HUGE KR557 fan. Gncc guys dont get enough recognition for what they do anyway and its a shame.

Russel due to how many titles he's racked up.

I don't think there's any way Webb makes more than Russell. I don't think it's really even that close honestly.

And there's pros that make negative figures.
I've always been curious as to the off road guy's salaries. There are some fairly big name guys that have real life jobs on top of racing. Baylor is a multi series national champ and he puts on riding classes. I wonder what a Josh Toth is making. Or a Jordan Ashburn. I gotta think there are very few guys that are doing real well in the off road scene. I wouldn't think there are that many more that are even making a living off racing exclusively.

i've heard of top guys in australian enduro to be in the 80-150k depending on bonus's.

Dakar guys 150-200k with hefty race win bonus's

I have no idea how much they're pulling down, but I do know from watching Colton Haakar's VLOG that he has a house w/land in Southern California, and another house in Idaho. He also bought himself a new Ford Raptor with his World Endurocross Championship bonus this year. So, while the top guys in off road aren't puling down Eli money, I doubt they're really doing too bad overall.

No doubt about it. They're still making a nice living. I had a disagreement with a friend which is why I posted this question. He thinks Webb makes more money than Russell which I find very hard to believe. I feel Russell is probably making unprecedented money for an offroad guy. He certainly isn't pulling in tomac or roczen money but I think he's doing very well for himself.

Not being smart but what offroad guys would be on $150k before prize money, take price out of it as he isnt paid by an australian team.

$80k salary? Must of gone up a lot, I would be surprised if Ferris is making $150k salary.

I was told by someone close that Ferris's said 300k for 2018 or he would go overseas.

I know back when mossy was sx and mx champ he was pulling in 300k+, money is a bit better these days

No way Webb is making more cash than Russel. Russel is the top dog.
The days of making big money offroad is gone. Shane Watts showed me what he made back in the day and it was a lot of coin. Those days are long gone. I would expect someone like Russel is making over $300k a year. I know what some top CDN National riders are making. Good livings but not getting rich.

Woohoo

I know several of the Am champions and they are not making anything but $250 holshot bonus $ IF they pull the hole shot.

You often hear about the disparity in rider incomes for MX... I'm going to guess the drop off is even steeper for pro off road racers?

I'd say your right.

Hell I'm not sure Stu Baylor the National Enduro Champ is even "making a living" I mean can SRT really be paying him $50k a year? He did have on a Factory KTM hat in championship photos so I'm sure KTM threw him a championship bonus, but it's a sad state of affairs when a National Champ at the Pro level is depending on Mom & Dad to make sure they keep on racing.

By most accounts off road races at a local/amateur level are seeing growing turnouts as opposed to shrinking at the local level of MX, it'd be nice to see some of the money swing the other way.

Not many but heard from a very reliable source that there’s a supermini rider that’s making well over the 100k mark.

I know this was years ago and a different time period, but Ben Riddle said himself his last year being a amateur he made around 250k.

There is still a lot of money spent on off road salaries, it is just that it is so fractured with dozens of series.
