Official announcers complaint thread

Once again, I solve the whole Announcer Problem by turning the sound off and playing guitar during the races. I don't get annoyed and I get a lot of practice in.

I always hope Eckman and Bailey come back.

Diffey has been around motorsports a lot and is a decent announcer. Carmichael wasn't bad last night but I actually didn't pay much attention to them at all. Just watched the race.

Only one complaint....I wish someone would have announced Webb wasn't feeling good at some point during the race....

I was looking for Anaheim 1, but somehow ended up watch the Dakar Rally..... Tongue

I think he's OK. Knowledgeable. Except for when he put AC on a Monster Energy Yamaha. (anyone else catch that?)

I'm just here to complain about the in-stadium announcing during the races. Can't hear anyway, why bother?

I like the new guy a lot. Commentary was much more smooth and he served up Ricky a lot better. Ricky was actually tolerable last night for once because of the new guy. I’d rather see Daniel Blair than Ricky though. Daniel is a natural and would be great in that spot. Ricky would do better back on the trackside commentary.
The one that really agitates me is the lady doing the interviews with the riders... her voice is like scratching a chalkboard with a fork.
It’ll never be perfect, but it’s certainly improved and I’m just happy I can watch SX live at this point.

Left the stadium and got home in time to put my feet up and see the whole show. Announcing seemed fine to me.
I’m still annoyed that the production team can’t figure out that people DO NOT want to see any “flash backs” during a LIVE race.

RC is much better this year. His commentaries were leading the action on the track and much better Insight than last year.

I kinda do though, since the live broadcast managed to miss nearly every important pass in the mains.

Whoever that clown is working with Ricky in the booth...it was frigging painful to listen to him. Exit him ASAP. Get Emig back. Let him work with Ricky as the one two banter experts. And for god sakes, bring in Ralph or Langston to do the main commentary.

LOL Agreed. When we go to Millville for outdoors I bring an old Sony Walkman with an FM Tuner and a set of earbuds. They broadcast the trackside announcers on a FM station so I hear the race call while everyone else is unable hear what is going on..

It's so weird when people come on here and say things like this. There are hundreds (thousands?) of different people who are posting on these boards. I'm sure the people who were complaining about Ralph are not the same ones who are complaining about Leigh.
