Kiwis are in:

MX1: Wyatt Chase
MX2: Dylan Walsh
OPEN: Max Purvis

Why did Natzke got shafted?
I dont know how fast the other guys are, but Natzke is pretty far off the pace to have a decent MXDN finish..

Solid squad. Anstie is great in the sand, Watson will have and time to get back to full fitness and is also a really strong sand rider. Just have to hope that Anstie can keep it on 2 wheels and Simpson can channel some of his old form

Antsie has too difficult of a time putting a full weekend together. Simpson ain’t what he used to be. Still a solid team and should be podium contenders.

Team Norway have announced a very young team after not competing last year:

Hakon Fredriksen MXGP
Kevin Horgmo MX2
Cornelius Tondel Open

A good team if all go`s to form we should podium as they are proven sand riders, I would have liked Adam Sterry on the 450 MX Open as he is a good sand man young & hungry, instead of Simpson, but still they should rip

I would agree with you that sending a young, hungry guy like Sterry would normally make sense, but seeing as this year's MXoN is in the sands of Assen, it might be a rare opportunity for GB to go win this thing. Anstie and Watson has been great in the sand already this year and Simpson is one of best sand riders in the world when he's on it so I think they made the right call. If the right version of Simpson shows up, they have just a big of chance to win this thing as the Netherlands and France in my opinion.

The GB team is pretty solid. If everyone selected is near their best on the day then I'd rank it:

1. NL
2. GB
3. France
4. USA
5. Suisse/Belgium (tie)

Though in the right combination of weirdo circumstances (it's MXoN) I think any of those teams could win. For as big of favourites as the Dutch will be, remember that the USA were pretty big favourites in Red Bud.

I'll be rooting for Team Iceland. Apparently they actually have multiple tracks in the country:

mx is worldwide and if i'm not mistaken teamiceland is quite regular competitor. It would be huge success if they qualify but who knows, it is Assen, everything is possible there.

I guess Sterry will get the call up and replace Watson.

Who’s gonna replace Antsie if he can’t go? It’s not looking so good for GB.

Probably Searle. I wonder how Sterry is doing now also. That didn't look good.

No, Team Ireland represents the Motor Cycle Union of Ireland, including both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, all teams ride for the National Federation (FMN) NOT a sovereign Nation, and with dual citizenship available to residents of the UK & the Republic of Ireland, anyone with a UK or Republic of Ireland passport can ride for the MCUI, as supported by the Belfast Agreement (sometimes called the Good Friday Agreement) of 1998, remember, Willie Simpson rode for Ireland many times in the past, and he is Scottish with a UK passport.
I'd say it was a fair few decades ago that Willie Simpson rode for Ireland............. just for those who have no idea of Willies career - one of my favourite riders from many years ago, and, of course, Shauns' dad.

Bloody Hell, a broken wrist, a pneumothorax, and, Shaun's hurt as well after today? That's a hell of a hit to the Brit Team.

Simpson is fine. The bike was bent, but that's it. He's in for the next GP at Sweden.

Team GB still can go with Anstie Simpson and Searle on a 250.

Sterry is ok and got a good bike.
Not trying to knock Searle, but by his own admission he isn't really a sand rider.

Maybe Dean ends up racing for GB after all. With Husky already having Anderson and Osborne going it may not be too much more effort to add a 3rd bike.
