That's a tough team to beat !

Hope France will be able to bring Ferrandis in the mix with also a great american team and the lawrence brothers for Australia !

We could have a great MXON everything considered but we will see how it plays out with the teams and riders

Time to drop the Puerto Rico thing for good. Zero reason for it

I very much doubt you will see a NZ team this year, with not enough riders in Europe for a team, and a 2 week mandatory quarantine that is booked out till November it does not seem likely,

I want ET3, BAM and J Coop for the USA. Not holding my breath though Wink

edit: I'm sure Eli is probably not going because of the team switch so I'd like to see another young blood like Sexton get a shot at it Smile

If anything, it’ll keep dangerously slower riders out of harms way. Not like the US is cleaning up with both the USA and PR teams.

Luke Clout, Hunter Lawrence and Regan Duffy would be a podium team.

I'd say the OZ Team will probably come down to those who are overseas at that time. Through the same (sort of) reasons scott_nz cites for perhaps NZ not being there.

Still, for OZ, it gives us a good selection. But, I'm a bit of a pessimist when it comes to our 'luck' at the MXDN. Unsure

Apparently, InFront decided not to award world championship points during the MXoN.

A week prior to the MXoN the GP of Sardegna is held, the week after the GP of Germany.
Both Gajser and Febvre have stated not to participate at the event due to their chances at claiming the worldtitle.

I’d say Italy could potentially (I stress could) field a winning team. Cairoli, Monticelli and Guadagnini could be a winning team if Netherlands, France and U.S doesn’t field their strongest teams.

From the top of my head I can’t think of a country that could field an obviously stronger team.

...I'm really excited to see who gets to be on Team Luxembourg.

Do they like, put an ad on Craigslist to see if anyone wants to ride?...

Rumor has it Canada might be sending a team after all. It's not the exact team I would send, but it's close so it could be worse.

Pauls Jonass says he isn’t a fan of the MXoN in the middle of the season but will consider racing if asked by the Latvian federation. The Gas Gas rider, fresh of a superb podium in Lommel, said in the post-race press conference: “For me it’s like Jeffrey says – if you have a team to win (it’s more enticing to risk racing). Latvia, I have team where the first goal is to get into the A final but of course it’s nice to race for your country.

“For me I don’t like the idea that the Nations is in the middle of the season because when it is the end of the season, everyone is more relaxed, more loose and you can enjoy the event even more. When I didn’t have the strongest team I still went to the race and really enjoyed racing there just the atmosphere with the fans and everything. So far the federation hasn’t asked me anything about the des Nations so we will see, time will tell. If they ask me I will for sure consider that.”

I totally understand guys not racing the event because it’s right in the middle on the season. Especially those guys who still have a shot at the championships or podiums to get their bonus money.

Even given that unfortunate circumstance most of them are still considering going. It’s pretty damn cool if you ask me. That really shows the difference between the mentality of some people from the USA and some people from other countries.

You shouldn’t have to look far for the reasons why the USA is taking a step back (not just in racing) and a lot of European countries are taking a step forward.

Put Hunter on a 450 and let Jett have the mx2 spot. Hell let Jett ride open on a 250 and he will still outperform Clout or Duffy.

Australia cant afford to not run both Lawrence brothers.

When DeCoster retires, we should ask Vuillemin. You get the realness and the knowledge of Ryno without the kombucha and patchouli.

It's been confirmed that the MXdN will not be awarding MXGP championship points to the riders.

Thank f**k for that.

How they could have done that, even remotely fairly, is beyond me, well, anyone with half a brain.

Luongo and his boy Davide, clutching at straws, with the most idiotic thinking. Absolute Corrupt Cretins, who only think about their pockets.

There was no way that could have worked.
If you take a look at the MX2 results, for instance, you've got FOUR very fast french riders, three of which are in the top six as we speak. And only ONE of them would have been able to score championship points at the MXDN... Talk about unfair.

I wonder how many guys are gonna opt out of the MXdN now. A guy like Gajser most likely will since there’s no way Team Slovenia could fight for a podium and he will most likely still be in the title hunt.

But what about a guy like Cairoli? Italy has a legit shot at MXdN this year. But does Cairoli chance getting hurt before the season ends?

I believe Herlings will be in if KTM lets him. It will be tough to send Febvre and Prado too.

I haven’t even begun with 250’s. Jeez this will get interesting. We are seeing now more than ever how much of a luxury it is that Team USA typically has so many legit options for the team.

See page 1 Wink Gajser and Febvre won't go. Herlings and Cairoli will / want to go, because they can send a strong team and have a chance of winning it. Well, Febvre too, but he chooses to hunt for the worldtitle.

France has the possibility to send Musquin / Vialle or Boisramé / Tixier. Boisramé won't be battling for the title anyway, and Vialle seems unlikely aswell after missing a couple of races. Or maybe Benistant says he definitely wants to race it. Renaux will opt out aswell imo as he's the leader right now.

Italy probably will send Cairoli / Guadagnini / Lupino.

As both Guadagnini and Benistant are rookies, I'm not sure they will be a contender for the worldtitle until the last stage of the championship anyway.
