Maybe you are just a highly passionate profile (left handed?), which can later be a great quality, a real asset, as most things you will do later for a living need a bit the same level of passion/interest/curiosity to be really good at. Be a bit careful maybe, just try to interest you to other stuffs too (chicks, cars, houses, etc), but otherwise don't worry Smile

Then STFU about it or find people that have the same interests.

Trae, kawbro has suggested purchasing a fine cat. Cats can be very soothing - what with the purring and all.

However, for your particular obsession with Moto, I suggest you get one of those rubber balls to squeeze, and begin practicing the "Costanza" stress relief method.

To wit; squeeze the rubber ball ten times. Set it down, throw your arms up in the air and shout, "SERENITY NOW!" Repeat the Costanza technique while deep breathing, for as long it takes for your focus to return.

If the Costanza method fails to provide you with relief, you should consider starting to cut yourself.

Ah it is because often left handeds are a little bit more sensible, passionate and creative (the right part of the brain is working more). It is both an asset and a weakness, as the left part of the brain used by right handed is more on rigor, logic, maths, which helps more for school/studies.

Don't worry, maybe find other stuffs that can interest you to balance a bit everything, but never underestimate you and think about it as an asset as this "obsessive" profile can help you a ton in your career (i.e. I don't think DeCoster, Payton, RC, etc were switching off much during the first part of their career). Good Luck !

I've always said Vital attracts a different kind of poster. I've been on a good number of forums and they are all relatively consistent. Vital seems to attract dirt bike riders with a lot of concussions.

Kids at school called me "dirt bike boy." Guess I am a "dirt bike man" now.

When I was in high school in the early 80s, I carried a copy of MXA everywhere. I wore moto clothes. I drove my parents insane with my moto obsession, they seriously thought something was wrong with me. I just wanted to race.
A few decades later, nothing really changed (I stepped away for chunks of time but always came back). Over the years I have gotten so much shit for just wanting to ride a dirt bike. People call me crazy, stupid, redneck, climate destroyer-- people will dream up pretty much any criticism they can (look at this place, for instance), because that's what people do to push others down and elevate their perception of themselves.
Screw it- life can be boring. Get as much fun as you can out of moto and who cares what anybody thinks?
