Does anyone know what time the gates will open? I’m assuming it will be around 9 to 930am.

Oakland has free parking across the whole city. The only problem is getting your car back.

Joking aside, you can also consider parking at a BART station and getting to the stadium that way

Oakland parking at the Coliseum is at least $20 possibly $30, leave nothing in your car and make sure you have locks on your wheels. Better yet take a rental.

If I remember right it was $40 to park and $60 of your oversized? Like a pickup or SUV is considered oversized. We have been taking BART for the last 4 years and it’s the only way to go. Drops you off right at the stadium.

You are fine if you park at the stadium.

Yup. Never parked anywhere other than inside the parking lot which has plenty of security. Suburban white folks LOL

Another agreement. Been there many times with no issue.

Do this. We park at the Ashby Bart station in Berkeley. Parking is free and the ticket is like $2.50 each way. Get on the Orange line toward Fremont. Plus you get the "entertainment" of seeing all of the drunks make fools of themselves after the race. Its really not too bad, but you might not make it on the 1st train as it gets crowded fast

Thanks all. I have parked in the lot many times. No issues. It’s good to have the truck and a place to chill when my 5 year old gets tired. It just seems to be hard to find info this year. I’ll be in line at 9 and we’ll be good to go.

I gotta story for you. Back when it was at San Francisco, we told our buddy who was coming to not park in the parking lot. Park outside of the staduim somewhere nearby or the traffic will be horrific and of course he just did what eeeeveryone else did which was park in the stadium...

We lived in Sacramento and when the event got done we left at the same time. When we got home 2 1/2 hours later we called to see where he was.
He was SITTING ON THE BAY BRIDGE JUST OUTSIDE OF THE STADUIM, in traffic. And we were already home.
Unbelievable.

Downtown SF is insane. I spent 1 1/2 hours trapped to go a few blocks, watching a light cycle red and green over and over. People were going apeshit. Turned out it was two dudes working on a manhole at the entrance to the bridge. The city is run by idiots.
