What happened to my thread i posted about this? Guess someone’s feelings were hurt since i asked if It was a day race so they don’t have to deal with gangs and what not during the night in Oakland..

Homeless next to A1 and A2? Check.
San Diego? There are tons of urban campers.
There's a history of bike thefts in Atlanta, including the KJSC bikes last year, and AJ Catanzaro's bike a year or two before that.

In short, it got rejected because it's not specific to Oakland.
Atlanta is so bad because of the bike life thugs. So many people bring bikes to atl because they go ride the Sunday after.i know a ton of people who would go to Durham town after the race, but they stopped bringing bikes because of the thefts.

My buddy was in Atlanta and somehow ended up in “zone 3” said It was the scariest shit he’s ever seen. Got out of there real fast.

I used to go to flints bbq on east 14th a little ways from the coliseum. Never looked anybody the eye and just ordered my ribs. No issues at anytime but they did have a security guard so white folk like me could get some bbq safely. The BBQ was worth it.

Anyone know what time the parking lot opens? Iv heard in the past they usually dont let you in very early. Dont want to park outside of the stadium parking lot at all tomorrow.

Park at a BART station and take BART directly to the coliseum, that’s what I’m doing.

Does anybody know if they’ll let you bring in a backpack with outside food?

Park at Bart the next stop over. Then ride Bart to the next stop. Much cheaper and better.

You usually don’t get harassed in rough neighborhoods unless you’re flaunting shit or advertising to get robbed....just chill you’ll be fine.

Food yes. Backpack no. Go to website and check restrictions. I bought one of those "stadium rated" clear bags off Amazon after I got rejected with my backpack.

Don't single out Oakland. All of the stadiums are major metro inner city. Minneapolis is sketchy as hell. Might have been the warm weather last year that brought out the gun waving heroin enthusiasts but the walk back to our hotel made it our last SX. Would much rather camp out in some remote field w/o cell service at a Pro National than deal with inner city bullshit.

It's starting early because of a UFC fight night that starts at 7pm. At least that's PST.
