Call Yamaha direct, number is on their site. They'll tell you where the oldest one sitting on a showroom floor is at, and you can go from there..... I doubt there are any leftovers sitting around, but you never know. Hell, being what you want, if you found a 15 or 16, buy it! God know it's seen a ton of changes over the years.....

The YZ chassis / suspension hasn't really changed since 2006 while the engine is basically the same from 99 to current .
I'd suggest looking for a low hr. older model & save some $. Good luck on your quest.

Probably won’t find left overs because everyone bought them.

Yep. Personally I wouldn't pay for a brand new YZ that is an outdated model.

Check B&B Cycles in Victorville. I'm in San Clemente and it's always been worth the extra drive to buy from them. I'm not going to try and post any prices but while you're looking around put them on the list of places to call.

I went to buy a brand new YZ250 from a local dealer. They wanted to charge me a $500 assembly fee and another $600 for destination. It’s criminal what they tack on for “fees”.

The salesmen wouldn’t budge. I went to another dealership and bought a left over 2016 RMZ250 for a screaming deal. Yeah it wasn’t a 2 stroke but I love my RMZ250

Buddy if you think that's bad I called nearly every dealership in SoCal looking for a leftover 18 YZ450F and nearly every damn one of them tacked on 2500 to their advertised price. I'll never buy a new bike in this state.

Somebody on here posted about a Tennessee dealer blowing out his 18 YZ450Fs for something like 5800OTD. Dealerships in this state are a joke, they only care about big money Quads and SXS sales.

Haha, so they are going to discount it, and then tack it back up to msrp. I do not miss CA prices.

I had to fork over $6800 for mine including tax and fees in Virginia.

Yup I bought my 19 husky 450 from them, Dustin is great to deal with.

Yup, I love the yz 2 strokes but just might end up getting a tc250 to match my 450. The prices on these new yzs makes me want to spend a little more just to get the husky smoker

Dustin is no longer at B&B, he moved to Idaho and is working for a dealer there. But B&B should still be a good place to buy.

Prices are insane in SoCal. Glad I still have my Oregon license and mailing address up in Portland still. Live in SoCal but might just drive up there to get no sales tax.

Aside from bike prices, it seems EVERYTHING in Cali is so damn expensive.... I don't see how a blue collar guy can have anything without over paying for it. I know wages are smaller here, but prices on real estate, taxes, gas, everyday life stuff out there just seems out of reach. I'm just simple I guess.....

3 brothers racing has been the only place I've been to without all the added bullshit. I dont remember the exact amount I paid for my 18 tc250 but it was under 8 grand. Everyone else after all the added crap were over 9 grand and wouldn't honor ktm/Husqvarnas 1.99 interest promotion.

Almost all dealers out here in Southern California that I've experienced for many years all charge their FEES (Delivery, Set-up, Documentation, mark-up, yada yada) to the tune of $1700-$2500 above MSRP and taxes! It's insane! Only one dealer I've found 3brosKTM (KTM and Husqvarna) dealer is the only one that doesn't charge FEES.
