Or possibly none of the above. Definitely looked like a twisted / dislocated knee, but it's possible to do that without tearing ligements (unlikely though). I've twisted mine several times w/o ligament damage, thing would still swell like a Cantalope & put me out for about 6 weeks. Just trying to be optamistic for RV's sake, hopefully he can make it back for the Nationals.

Every top rider out - get rid of those 450's! I know it's not what caused RV's injury, but the attrition can't be denied. They have so much power, they are riding the rider - should be the other way around. My bet, the AMA will have to do something, looking at the stands in Seatle, that place looked dead. The venues are missing out on tons of money by not having a championship to watch. In the end, it's all about money & there's tons of it going out the window.

Why blame the 450Fcc? Why not the track? This crash and injury could of happened on a 125T, 250T, 250F, 350F, or a 450F. This was a crazy double onto a table bunny hop over whoops. Its was a basic turn
Did you completely gloss over my statement "I know it's not what caused RV's injury"?

Yes, change the tracks, maybe a flat track with no jumps & the 450 will be safe - I agree. LOL... Every top rider out, the attrition in the 450 class can't be denied.

Am I the only one who wouldn't mind seeing a track with no jumps? haha

The racing would be close, that's for sure.

The way he limped off and then bared all his weight on one leg while he swung his leg back over his bike makes me think its not that bad.

Damn Scottie.....that had me worried there for a bit. First thing I "thought" I saw was his knee buckled.......I was thinking ACL or possible MCL. It just didn't look right on the big screen. Thank god he'll be ok......hate seeing anyone get injured.....especially in a turn!

The way he was moving reminds me how I look when the meniscal flap tear gets worked a certain way. Hurts like a mother fucker and locks up. Original injury was similar; planted foot into sand coming into right hand turn, tore acl and meniscus.
Praying he is good to go.

A sceptic could say that if he was fine he wouldn't need to be checked out further. Fortunately I'm an optimist.

If they had compression/rpm limits that would reduce power while getting a few more hours out of the engine....blah blah.. nobody is listening... RE; 4 stroke nose dive; is it my imagination or were all the riders nearly endoing through that one section?

UNadilla 2010 showed otherwise, however I do agree, if Stewart rode outdoors week in and week out he would start winning

You mean like when he raced Hangtown in 2010 with an already injured knee...once I see him race I will believe it until then what I saw definitely has me believing he is at least somewhat injured

My first thought was Ohhhhh No thats not good! Then my next thought was...Maybe he is taking this as a way to get some well deserved rest. Either way I said it earlier Seattle is a magical place where weird things happen and history is often made- Watched RV get his first win there, watched Larry Ward get his first and last, now shorty what a place- Hope RV is ok and can get ready for the outdoors-

I agree. When I tore my acl back in october I could not bare any weight at all. Hell I didn't even wreck. I just stabbed my foot in a corner and knew it was fucked up. Rode back to the truck with leg just hangin, then sat on the bike for like 10 minutes so I could lift it to get of the damn bike. Reed mentioned the same thing, he said he couldn't walk at all. I think he will be sore but hopefully okay. I like watching him ride outdoors.

The one good thing is Short finally got a win!!!

Lol, if RV is healthy RD will be lucky to win a moto much less an overall. I believe confidence and how comfortable he looked on the 2012 last year, will play a big part in this.

It looked like RV took the bars right to the lower gut, upper groin area on top of whatever he did to his knee.

That might have had a lot to do with the way he was walking all doubled over.

Whatever it is, I sure hope he's healthy and ready to go for Hangtown.
