I’m sure that this thread will be clipped, but I think it’s sort of important to point out that so many of the folks enraged at someone not worshiping the flag that represents our government also are the folks who argue that guns are needed to wage war against that same government.

In the interest of accuracy, seventeen said he didn't support this individual because he kneeled and pointed out that he lives an exclusive life. He didn't say a word about worshipping anything or a word about guns or war. The crazy talk ensued after others felt the need to attack his comments. And I'm not throwing support to either side of this ridiculous argument.

Don't let the facts of the thread get in the way of you pushing your agenda bro.

He is on that field, at his work place to do one thing...play football, win games, and is rewarded handsomely for doing so. People on each side of the argument will never agree, so why bother. Anyone is free to protest the flag, also anyone is free to disagree about how one protests. Personally dont understand how people beleive the flag represents a government, i think it represents a nation and its people, not how one administers laws and policies. Our nation is divided and will never be whole again, pretty sure we are the most diverse country in the world, so no suprise.

I would say probably 50% of everyone on Vital is posting while at work... so I guess you probably have the same problem with everyone here. At least he is doing something worthwhile with his transgressions while at work. And taking 5 minutes out of an entire week of work in a non game effecting time to draw attention to injustices is a pretty good use of work time. Bravo

It's fairly easy to recognize the difference in platforms between NFL game day, and the cast of rejects known as Vital members. Besides, no one hear is making the same hourly wage as O'Neil, so the comparison is a little shaky.

These particular 5 minutes during the game are to some people the most sacred and unifying element in US sports. This is not the time to interpose ones societal viewpoints, regardless of being right or wrong.
