As many of you know, we had a really cool video of Craig Parks, a one armed MX'r.
See link:
http://www.vitalmx.com/forums/Moto-Related,20/Inspirational-vid-of-the-…
On the video you can see he has a right arm prosthesis (no controls on that bar).
On the left he has the throttle, clutch and front brake!
In the video, he is gassen it AND feathering the clutch at the same time!
How much better would it be for him if he could forget about that clutch!
So, I contacted Rekluse and they were super helpful. They offer a 30% discount for disabled riders.
So, here's the deal:
Rekluse Z Start Pro $629 - 30% = $440
Lets get this guy one!
Many here have already said they would contribute, I just had to set up a PayPal account.
So here is the PayPal address:
halfnac@gmail.com
Lets Make This Happen. We only need $440 + shipping.
A little from everyone will make this real easy.
Thanks to you all in advance,
Andy

I'm in
Seriously not trying to stir the pot or anything like that here, but I have to ask....and if the answer is yes, then I will shoot over a few dollars.
Have you contacted Craig Parks to see if he would even want this? I have a feeling, a strong one, that he wouldn't.
I know several people that have disabilities in one form or another. They like to at least feel the sense of normalcy or independence that they once had without contraptions that would make their life easier.
Props to ya for thinking about this for that guy. Great idea and a great job on your part.....
********EDIT************
Took the time to read the entire thread with the video. He said he would love a Rekluse......
I will make my donation tomorrow......
THANKS BD!

THANKS Thumper Pilot!

The Shop
EDIT: Sent $20
30% off is weak.
But thanks for making something happen Andy!
Good for things like this and keeps people that donate informed, updated and involved - which is really important.
With a good campaign you could smash $440
Pit Row
So who is Jeffrey Pugliano? The email for paypal is in his name.
You have a PM from me btw.
Jeff is a Buddy of mine who helped me out by using his PayPal account.
He is a straight up guy who is very excited about this effort.
I will have a current talley this weekend.
Please know that this is straight up.
I assure you that.
Thanks for the awesome support,
Andy
Probably should have sent it to Craig himself or Rekluse.
Why do you say that?
My name is Andy Hofer and I stand behind this effort 100%.
Jeff is a friend of mine. We both thought of and discussed this effort.
I contacted Rekluse and they said they can not accept paypal.
If people would be more comfortable we can change it to go to Craig directly.
I wanted to send him a clutch from the guys at vital.
Sad to me.
.
I'm Jeffrey Pugliano (Thumper Pilot). Andy and i have been buds for a very long time and he didn't have a Paypal account and asked if i would be willing to use mine for this effort so he didn't have to open one just for this effort then never use it again. Andy and I talked on the phone about it and I told him I'd absolutely help him out with this and I emailed him the email address for my Paypal account. I hadn't seen the video of Craig until after he posted this thread and I was the first to post a response. In fact, I'm not sure Andy even knew that Thumper Pilot was my username here on Vital as I'm not a very active poster.
I am a motocrosser in CO, you can look me up on RMXA.com, SRAC.org, and/or Hookit.com. I totally understand being a little sketched about it; in retrospect Andy should have put this information in his OP but I'm sure this is the first time he's done a fundraising effort like this and just didn't think about this angle (neither did I for that matter). So, whatever it will take to make people feel more comfortable, just say and we'll do our best to relieve your concerns.
I can offer my assurance that we both know that the other is a 100% straight shooter, we work hard for our money just like every one of you do, and neither of us is the type of person you understandably are concerned about. I realize you don't know me or Andy personally, but there is nothing in this world more solid than the intentions Andy has to help Craig and the intentions I have to help both of them. Donators will not be let down, guaranteed.
I just checked and as of right now, including the $50 I am pledging (I say 'pledge' because I don't know if I can really 'send' money to my own account, I didn't try), we have $165 so far for Craig's Rekluse, in one day. Pretty awesome!
Thanks,
Jeff
When you get to $400 send me a message through here or an email to mx49dad@gmail.com and I will cover the rest of the clutch cost and $20.00 for.shipping.....so Mark me down for a firm.60.
I sell on eBay for a living so my PayPal account always has 150.00 in it.....for refunds and such.
THANKS BD49!
.
