Its pretty apparent hes not the same guy at the beginning of this season. Guess that back injury is real? What gives

Edit: after watching the 3rd gang bang, i take full credit for lighting a fire under his ass to get a win. Spoke too soon. Doh.

Maybe realized that trying to win every race wasn't working out for him, so he's playing it smart?

I would imagine he’s still feeling the effects of his non-existent back injury.....

But who knows? We sure as hell don’t, and the “media” guys who do won’t state it as fact... it’s all innuendo as to not alienate riders and man friends.

those offseason corporate obligations are starting to show.

|

1/19/2019 7:57 PM

Yeah give him another round or 2 he will be right, definitely wasn't the Tomac we are used to.

|

1/19/2019 7:57 PM

He obviously hit the wall somehow and his lap times showed it.

Tire conservation.

|

1/19/2019 7:59 PM

He closed in for a bit, then fell back the last half of the race.

Maybe it was another tire issue silly

Nothin, fmotp.

Serious note....he’s kinda always been like this. Either burner or bust. Dropped anchor a few times last season. But still almost had it....long season.

Maybe he’s trying to lug his bike and not rev it out?

His fastest sector 2 was the last lap. Looks like he shut it down after Marv got by. Very hard to pass so maybe he wants to save some energy for later.

|

1/19/2019 8:03 PM

He’s been off all year so far and getting dropped by Kenny and Webb and passed by Marvin a second ago told me something’s up!!

|

1/19/2019 8:05 PM

Maybe he doesn't want to be interviewed.

Tires are pricey. Gotta be nursing something, or, his inconsistent starts don’t fit triple crowns well.

He is hurt.

|

Last year he was 50 points down by Anaheim 3. I think he's doing quite a bit better than that. But I get what you're saying. Last year he crashed out while leading. He hasn't lead anything yet this year.

This, he really doesn't come out blazing at the start of season. I wouldn't count him out.

The older I get, the faster I was.

Honestly his bike looks like shit. Super stiff, dosen’t want to corner. Compared to how Marv and Coop are literally putting the KTM’s wherever they want.

He’s not out of the hunt by any means, long season.

|

The bike I’ll say...

Feelings hurt by the euros, got a sx championship check before the season started, his girlfriend, who knows. Sad to see.

Lmao I love Tomac but he’s sooo awkward in all of his interviews

|

1/19/2019 8:49 PM

he had a couple real strange laps behind ando there clanking everything, but then regrouped and got into a rhythm.

|

1/19/2019 8:50 PM

Must have made some bike adjustments. Looked much better through the whoops and overall more comfortable

Just getting in the flow of racing I think. Arm pump or maybe just a little preparation problem. I think he will be fine. Started the same way in 2017 and then won all but two of the remaining races I believe.

|

1/19/2019 8:51 PM

Let me put it simply, with science.....has he made improvements in his ranking from this time last year? Answer is; yes, significantly. So, what’s the problem, gains are gains.

|

1/19/2019 9:00 PM

He's been training with Herlings. He is use to following now. It's working....lol

|

1/19/2019 9:01 PM

Might be a little bike setup, a little nagging injury, and learning to take what you can get/be patient all wrapped in one. He's sitting pretty in points for when he does step it up

|

1/19/2019 9:49 PM

Weird, looks like he’s winning.

Your right he had a dnf and a dns the first 2 races last year, but at least he won a lot!!! Even tho he ended up 3rd... Hes riding smart. Bad start? Dont force it in a 3 race format.... Hes what 2nd in points?
